Should I just buy One Day tickets instead?

HI All. We are going in late October and staying at Bay Lake. We are hoping to hit one day while we are there with the Extra Hours for Deluxe guests. But as of now we don't know what dates that may be. We know we don't want to do more than two days this trip in October and will do probably two days on our trip in April next year. So I'm thinking the only way to do this is to buy 4 individual one day tickets. If we do that I can book park Reservations for four different days in October right?. Once I find out if/or when a EMH might be among those dates I will probably cancel two days. I can use the extra (1 day each) tickets on a follow up trip, paying any increase in the pricing for April days. Am I thinking about this correctly. It doesn't save me too much to buy a four day park ticket which essentially becomes null and void if I don't go ALL the days after using it the first day correct? There is no way to "turn in" the unused days? I sure do miss the non expiring options they used to have.... actually better yet was the automatic never expiring option. Thanks for any help!!

I don't think your plan will work if I understand you correctly.

You need to have had a park reservation and valid ticket for the Extra Evening Hours date. If you have a park hopper, the reservation can be for any of the 4 theme parks but you must actually visit that park before hopping to the Extra Evening Hours park. If you have a base ticket, you must have a reservation for the Extra Evening Hours park.

Parks, dates and times have already been posted for October, if that helps you decide.

If I’m understanding your plan correctly, I would say yes, it would work. Though it does look like you can anticipate the dates will be mondays and Wednesdays in October, if that helps with your planning.

What you’re proposing would work, I think, but a lot of trouble. I think the end of Oct hours will be released by the end of this month and you will have time to book your park reservations then.

I was not talking about hopping. Just would like to do one or two days at a park and wanted to make it a day the we would be entitled to use EMH.

so now my question is if I buy a one day ticket it has to be selected for a certain day. Say 10/25. What happens if I decide I’d rather go to a park on 10/24? Can I switch that ticket at guest services?(of course allowing that there is park reservations available ). I’m so frustrated with having no flexibility when buying tickets.

You should be able to modify it on the app.
