Last year I decided to start planning to go to Disney World, staying at The Pop Century hotel. My niece and her partner were coming with me but sadly they split up so I thought about going alone. Then my other niece, her partner, their 2yr old daughter and my daughter said they would come so I paid a deposit on the hotel [but I hadn't got round to booking the flights].Due to circumstances beyond our control my niece, her partner and their daughter had to drop out, this left just my daughter and myself. After a discussion my daughter said she didn't want to go without the others so this leaves just me.The hotel deposit is paid and I can get a flight for £369 in Sept...should I go alone? The holiday would be 7th Sept-28th Sept.Part of me wants to go but another part of me is wondering what else is going to go wrong. It seems as if the holiday has been doomed from the start.Disney have said I can have a full refund of my deposit if I decide against the holiday.
Any advice would be greatly welcomed.
Thanks in advance.

I think 3 weeks is a very long time to be on your own. Why not go, but for a shorter holiday?

I say 'go for it' but, as Gilld says, 3 weeks is a long time so the first thing I think you need to look at is whether you'd be happy going for that length of time on your own :)

I've quite happily taken holidays alone, in the past,as I do enjoy being able to 'do my own thing' ;)

I'd definitely go but think about for how long :thumbsup2

Lyndon, this is a really tough call :(

I think it depends on what sort of "person" you are. I know that I would not want to be on my own on holiday for 3 weeks, and possibly not even for 2. If you are happy with your own company and won't be there wishing the others had made it too - then go for it :)

Or could you book with others and go another time - would you daughter go if she could take a friend with her too?

Good luck to you with whatever you decide to do :wizard:
