Should I go to Universal?

I am a big Disney fan and will be going this sept for a 8 night/9day trip. My Husband and I were considering taking a day trip to either Universal or Seaworld. My Huband would prefer universal but I am afraid my 2 year old wont have much to do. Are there many things for a small child to do and do they have a kid swap program so we are not standing in line twice for each ride? Do they still operate well on rainy days Just in case? Would sea world be better?

Just want to add that I went to Universal Cali. back in 2002 and enjoyed it very much but I was a single woman with no kids too.
