Should I go to AK on EHM morning if Crowd Level is 9? This is for June 17.

EP and HS are expected crowd level 7 on that day....I know AK has EMH in the morning, but it is listed as an expected crowd level 9.

Should we take advantage of the EMH at AK that day or switch to another park that is a level 7?
I can also do AK on another day at level 7, but no EMH.

Thanks!

If you have hoppers, get to AK at 7:30 am. Ride you favorites stand by, then do any shows you're interested in. Then go to a recommended park (and prebook FPs at that second park)

I second this plan. Even on a level 9 day, you will get a couple of hours early in the morning where you can get a lot done if you go commando.

Be there at the start of EMH
We did last week Easter. Not sure but it was probably a 9 day. We rode Everest 2 no line. Could have rode more, Safari, Dino, Bugs life, Lion King, Nemo show and K rapids. Only one we needed our fast pass for was the rapids at the end.

We were done by 12:30 and on to another park. I would suggest saving your fast passes for that second park
Wish we would have done that.
Enjoy your trip!

Many say the park with EMH will be very crowded that day. Last week MK had EMH every day so no way to test it there.

Enjoy your trip. Our key during a very busy time be there before rope drop at the front of the line & go to the most popular rides first. Get fast passes for later after the parks are open 2 to 3 hours.

Newbie here.

Why?
EMH is the big perk for people who stay on site. Because of that, many onsite guests feel they aren't getting their money's worth if they don't go to that park .... And a huge number will go to that park because that's what they have planned - even though they got up late and miss the extra hour (which so many do / even when they plan to get up early). So that park winds up being the busiest one that day. If you have a hopper, you can take advantage of the extra hour and that morning lull before the majority of vacationers have gotten their act together and then you can leave that park as it gets busy and go to another park. Without a park hopper, you are stuck in that park.

So if you don't have a hopper, you're better off getting up early and being at one of the recommended non EMH parks before they open.

I would not get up early to go to AK on an EMH day. You can do everything you want in that park with regular hours, so why bother getting up early when it's not necessary, and then having to deal with park hopping?

One reason we like going early there is little shade in the park. It is more bearable early in the day.

THIS! Especially in the summer months when it is HOT all day long anyway. Plus the earlier you go, the more active the animals will be on the safari.
