Well, I mean with the kids.

DH says he just cant' get off of work next week.

Our APs expire Jan. 18th and we will not be renewing this next year.

The drive is about 9 hours each way with 3 kids.

We will be missing one major event (big practice for a competition) but I hate to not go just for one 3 hour event, you know?

Thoughts?

Oh, and tickets AND lodging are pre-paid as I have a week available for a condo. I will just have to cover gas and food.

As long as you think you will be fine with the 9 hour drive....GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is to short...go enjoy your kids and make some great memories!

Definately go, I drove to Michigan from MA (16 hours) with my two kids 6 and 3, and the 3 year old was mid potty training. We did fine. Just stop every 2 hours or so and remember the rest stop rule Everyone goes if they need to or not!

Have a blast!

Thanks guys.

I have called DH at work and asked him to re-check again to see if he can get off. He said he would miss a couple of meetings with clients but will ask if he can do them from Orlando!

I really hope he can go, but will prob. go without him anyway.

Only one of my kids really likes the roller coasters and I love them as well.....so it will be more fun if DH can go as he isn't a roller coaster type either....he can take the other 2 elsewhere!

I'd absolutely go. In fact, I have with four children and flew rather than drove. We had a great time!

I started taking my kids without DH (flying) when they were 4 and 6. We actually have as much if not MORE fun there, as he isn't too into the parks as we are. We just go at our pace, and have lots of fun. We usually stick to mostly CS meals, and I let the kids pick which things they want to do.

Now, I'd not be sure about pulling the 11 year old out of school, but if that isn't an issue, I'd definitely just go yourself. If your DH can join you, fine, but you'll have fun either way.

There have been times when my DD wants to do a roller coaster, and DS isn't into them, so he'd wait at the exit and I'd go with her. We all stick together except for this scenario.

Have a great time!
