Should I expect anything else from Vacation stragergy?

I have paid my balance in full and just wondering if they send any other instructions on where to checkin or what I may need or is it all just something we will know once we get there?? First time staying at WBC and can't wait only 19 more days!!:)
 
you have the reservation confirmation in your name right?

that is all you need

you check in at the front at WBC. it is not hard to find.
 
I got a confirm that I paid but that's it. Looks just like a auto confirm from paying the final balance. Should I get something else?
 
You will not get anything else. About 2 weeks before you arrive you can call Bonnet Creek and confirm your name is in their system. Last year I did call Vacation Strategy and they gave me the owners name I was booked under. I didnt need this information but I felt better having it. We are 53 days from our vacation and I got our balance due email/link today. Excited to pay the balance, makes me feel like we are really getting close. Enjoy your vacation :)
 

Also my first time staying at WBC. I paid my balance in full over a month ago for my stay in April. I have not received anything from VS and will be going in 12 days. I phoned WBC to check if my name is in their system and it was not. I was told to contact VS, which I did a couple of days ago, but have not heard back. Has this happen to anyone else and should I be concerned?
 
This is a quote from a post I made on the I love Bonnet Creek thread, voicing concern about this very thing. Several posters came back to say I'd be fine and didn't need anything but ID to check in.

I got an email from Vacation Strategies yesterday saying my balance was due. The email I got from them when I paid the deposit several months ago, said that the balance wouldn't be due until I got the confirmation in my name which should be 20-30 days out. I am now 50 days out and do not have any kind of confirmation. Since I got the email saying my balance was due, I called to ask and the guy on the phone sounded sort of rushed and irritated. He said that they are no longer doing that, are asking for the balance to be paid earlier, and I would not even get a confirmation at all. He said if I wanted to, that I could call him back 48 hours prior to check in and he'd transfer me through to BC, who would verify that I had a reservation. He said that they had to piece together three different confirmations to get my ten night stay in May and that over the next few weeks would be doing alot of stuff behind the scenes to piece the reservation together to get the price they promised me, but that didn't concern me and all I needed to check in was my ID and not to worry about anything else, that I wouldn't need a confirmation. Is this normal?:eek: According to the original email I got from them, they said they would send me a confirmation in my name, but now they are saying they don't do that any longer and to just show up with nothing.:scared1: I'm scared of getting down there and not having a place to stay.
 
Our stay last year was booked under several owners in order to get our 10 nights. We had zero issues. There are tons of threads and post about Vacation Strategy and so far I have found nothing negative. My experience last year was perfect and Im not anticipating any problems this year. I would call or email them again if you have concerns.
 
Thank-you for the reassurance. I read the good reviews of VS before I booked and felt confident booking with them. It is just that we will be at BC in 9 days, still have not heard from VS and my name is still not on the reservation. They have not answered my emails, but I'm assuming it is because it's Easter weekend. Will try and phone them tomorrow to find out.

I'm sure everything will work out fine.
 
We booked with them in June. :cheer2: I spoke with Jeff from V.S. He said they do not send out a confirmation anymore because we are able to cancel up until we leave. If they have to change the name on the reservation, it costs $99 or $120. He said they do not put our name at Bonnet creek until 2 days before we leave. He said if I wanted a confirmation with our name on it he would give us one but it would be more money/not have the same cancelation policy. Hope this helps!

boy sounds like he needs to change his policy - and not allow cancellation the last 7 days - so at least you will get a confirmation policy.

now some DVC owners allow no cancellations period. some do if they can resell it before your reservation time.

Hmm. I really don't like this new policy. When I booked our May trip, the email they sent said I would get a confirmatiion with my name on it. When I called them the other day, I too was told that they no longer send out those confirmations. I really want that confirmation I was promised when I made the booking. I had thought that I would also be booking with them for our Dec trip, but with this new policy, will probably choose one of the other companies.
 


I like the new cancellation policy.

You may cancel this agreement for any reason. Simply notify us at least 20 days before the check-in date and receive a full refund except your initial deposit which will be credited in full towards your future rental with us.

not sure about room only - but definitely for their packages.
