I hope this is the right thread to talk about this. I think it is
I have the opportunity to run the half marathon in January with 2 of my friends who ran it last year. They invited me to go with them last year, but DD was just shy of turning a year and I knew that I would not want to leave her. Well, now it has been a year and I still have not gotten back into the shape I want to be. I know that running and training for the marathon would definitely motivate me (right now I walk on the treadmill daily). My only concern (well, besides the money) is leaving DD for the 4 days to go down there. Is that bad? DH is very supportive and says that he is behind me 100% and he knows how badly I want to do this. Not only do I want to get in shape, I'm a Disney nut (we even got married down there
) So bottom line, should I be feeling guilty. Is it selfish to leave DD who will be almost 2 to go to run the marathon? Has anyone left kids at home to go run the marathon? Just curious
