Hey everyone. We're (Me, DD, DD4, DD1, MIL, FIL) going to WDW staying at the POLY in August :cool1: (before free dining :sad2: ) and trying to decide on the DDP. We already have the following reservations:

Chef Mickey's - Dinner
CRT - Breakfast
Ohana - Breakfast
H&V - Lunch

Chances are my parents / us will eat out separately as well. We are there for 7 nights - so does that mean we have 7 or 8 days of dining? What do you all think? We will most likely have a grocery delivery for quick on the go items in the morning (water, snacks, etc). Thank you! :pirate:

Did you already do a "Magic your Way Vacation" including park tickets? paying regular disney rates? Or did you get a discount other than AAA? (FL resident, AP? etc) If you are already booked on a MYW Vacation- no discounts other than AAA, then you can add the DDP and it will just cost you the cost of the DDP - 38.99/A, 10.99/C (the 1 yo is free!)

You'd get 7 TS meals with that trip.
You have 5 accounted for, so you'd get to add 2 more. Your total cost out of pocket so far is a little over $500 and the cost of it for the week would be over $1000. Throwing that CRT breakfast in there using 2 TS for each of you throws off the "value" of the dining plan a lot. It would really depend on where you are choosing to use your final 2 TS meals (if you and your parents would choose dinners at places like Coral Reef, le Cellier, Spoodles, Capn Jacks, Wolfgang Pucks, etc Then, maybe it makes sense and you'll at least break even on it. ) At this point the main benefit would be from an accounting standpoint. Being pre-paid....having all the credits assigned to your cards and making ordering easy.

But, while I'm a big fan of the DDP, I'm seriously on the fence with you based on your current ADRs. (But your meals sound fun! ):)

The meals we picked are for the kids :), this trip is really going to be child based, when they get older we'll have more fun (not that we won't have fun this time). I see what you mean about an accounting standpoint. I'll figure it all together and see what I come out with. Thank you very much. :)

Assuming that you only make 2 more TS ADRs at similar prices. I figure you are close to breaking even if you use all of your credits. It would pretty much be a matter of convenience of having everything prepaid vs. ability to say hey the kids are too tired to make this restaurant lets just grab some counter service back at the resort. I'd just go out of pocket as kid's can be unpredictable. If you plan on making extra TS ADRs, then you can pay OOP for CRT, or feel free to skip a TS without penalty. In that case I would go with the DDP.
