Should I change my Tokyo Dining adr?

We want to eat in Japan on our November trip and I made an adr at Tokyo Dining. However, we are not sushi fans at all and I am wondering if I made the wrong decision. I am 164 days out from our trip and we are going Thanksgiving week. I might be able to change it, but maybe not. What should I do?

TD is not just Sushi. If you go to the top of the page, where there are two bars, in the middle of the lower on click on "dining". A little down you can then click on "complete list of restaurants" and then on "Epcot dining" and then on Tokyo, or just click here to get there directly. All the restaurant menus are availble on this board.

I do not eat sushi but did dine there with friends and enjoyed what we had. I would prefer to eat elsewhere as what we had was an alternative to sushi at a sushi place or at least that is how I feel. It was good, but why eat there when I could be eating at Teppan Edo.

At Teppan Edo, we like the quality of the food, cooked in front of us as we are seated around the grills, and the little show put on by the Chef....it is one of our faves.

You would pronounce it - Teh-pan EE-Doh
Hope this helps
By the way, Teppan Edo is one of our favorites and a must do on every trip. We go in October for the Food & Wine Festival. WE are adult DS, DH and I. DS's Birthday is usually during our trips and he always requests Teppan Edo for his birthday dinner.

I love Tokyo Dining, but I love sushi. I would switch if you are not going for hte sushi. My DH was not at all impressed with his choice when we were there in January.

Ditto what others have said. I loooooove the sushi at Tokyo Dining but the non-sushi part of the menu looked just "ok," not like "wow." I would definitely suggest Teppan Edo if y'all aren't sushi fans.

:goodvibes We loved it, but then again, we are Japanophiles. There are other entree's than sushi. For example, tempura which is basically fried food, but lighter and less greasy. There are grilled meats, japanese style cutlet meats, etc. It honestly depends on how adventurous you are. If you are picky, switch with Teppan Edo, if you are not, even if you do not like sushi, then stick to Toyko Dining.

BTW, it is pronounced Teh-pahn EH-doh. The e in "edo" is pronounced like the e in the name "Ed". You have no idea how many times I corrected CMs. :) The Japanese never pronounce their e's long like the english language's variation. They always pronounce their vowels short and hard. I study the Japanese language, err now I sound like a nerd hehe. ;)

Thank you all so much! I think I am going to just keep my ressie for now. The only thing that turns me off at Teppan Edo is having to sit with strangers to eat. This could be a good or a bad thing. I know it sounds silly, but I am weird like that. We have a lunch adr at Epcot too on the same day, so we might just do counter service for dinner that night if we decide not to go to Tokyo Dining. Thanks again! Oh, we are having lunch at LeCellier, per my dd10 request. I just made this adr last night because she insisted on eating there. I liked it on our last trip, but I wanted to try other places. I hope lunch is good!
