Should I cancel my Coral Reef ADR?

I would drop it because it's not very good. We have avoided it but finally broke down to try it on Monday, just to check it off the list.
Won't be back. It's avg food. The aquarium is cool but I can eat at Aquarium Cafe up the road in Nashville so it's not unique in that aspect.
Service was all right. Not bad but not outstanding either.
I had better fish dishes at any number of places at WDW.
There just was not 1 thing that would bring me back.
Not when there are so many much better places to eat in WS
Thanks for the review! That settles it for me, skipping CR:thumbsup2

Romantic? no. It is a restaurant VERY popular with families with young children and it is a very loud restaurant.

While I agree CR can get loud at times its not always. Every Disney restaurant we've been too can get very noisy except some of the signatures. It's Disney crowds! Couples usually get seated up against the aquarium as that is where most of the 2 person tables are. The atmosphere is one of a kind and can be very romantic depending on how you define it! Its a must do every trip. Via Napoli, not so much. Once was enough for us! Blah atmosphere, decent food, lousy service that was beyond belief!

I have been many times and it has always been very loud. Even my 9 pm ADR that I had hoped would be more adult like was a zoo. We were seated by glass and joined by many children not being parented pushing against us to see the fish. By the design the room does not handle noise well.

I just think there are way better options that lend to quieter meals.

Oh thanks for warning me. I thought it was going to be romantic with the aquariums but I guess it something my kids would enjoy more. I will go back another time and try snacking around the world.

Sounds good to me! Thanks for the input.

Yes, save it for the kids. They will love it!

I have not found much of any Disney restaurant that I would consider quiet and romantic except for some of the signatures. Ohana, Kona, Wave, San Angel, Via Napoli, Tutto Italia, Sanaa, Yak and Yeti and on and on have all been very noisy on a busy night (which is more often than not!). I've had some excellent meals at Disney but I would not go to any of them if the intent was to find a nice quiet place!

OP, glad you decided to skip Coral Reef this time around. I actually really enjoy that restaurant, but if you are interested in eating and drinking around the world, 2 TS meals is going to do you in. I have trouble enjoying some of the snacks and drinks I love and having just 1 TS meal.

The only problem I see with your strategy, is that I think in that scenario I would rather have a big meal at lunch time, go back to the resort and relax, and then come back for snacking and drinking later. I know Via Napoli is convenient to dine while you are already in WS, but what if you popped over there for a big lunch instead of dinner later? You could take the friendship ferries across the lagoon to avoid walking WS twice.

Just some thoughts! Enjoy your trip! :flower1:

I'm surprised at how many of the positive reviews of the Coral Reef, ostensibly a seafood restaurant, praise the steak. It makes me want to go to Le Cellier just to order the halibut.
You will find that most seafood places serve steak and that most steak houses serve fish as well. If Le Cellier had great Halibut, I may be inclined to order the halibut. If I go to BURGER King, I don't have to order a burger. They may have a good fish sandwich or chicken sandwich as well. I have eaten seafood at Coral Reef, but I chose steak last time and I was very happy with my choice. My spouse had Salmon.

Don't go. I was there on Monday and it was not good. I would not go back.
