Sorry for all caps. I'm just annoyed. I have spent so much time doing my AAA agent's work for her and I always feel like I bother her. Now she says there are only 3 floors on POP so she couldn't get me 4th floor request. What?? I've not stayed there but all info I have says they are 4 floors....

then she says, just don't call with any more codes. ha ha. NOT. Give me a break.

I just feel like I should book through disney then if I want to call for any reason, no one will be annoyed with me.

But i feel bad because she has helped me sortof.
WWYD?

1) There are 4 floors in Pop Century. Was on 4th floor in June.

2) If there is no cancellation fee with her, cancel and either book yourself or with a Disney specialist TA.

I would book on my own next time. I also felt like I was bothering my AAA rep. If I were to book through someone I would make sure the person is a Disney specialist and LIKES/LOVES what they do. Here I was planning a big FUN vacation for my 2 toddlers who have never been and she was like..."oh, well it's x, y, z" It was a job/chore for her to be there and I will not be going back again. Make sure your rep. is as enthused about your plans as you are, otherwise it's just a job and how much effort they put into it shows.

Ugh! Sounds like my AAA TA. She definitely has an attitude (oh no, not you AGAIN) when I call. Sheesh! Complaining because they actually have to do their job! I won't be booking thru my local AAA ever again.

If you can't get a better rate with AAA then on your own then go for it. Just make sure you have that better or equal rate.

I have always booked myself but this time I went with a recommended TA from Magic For Less just to have the added security of someone in the know along with me attempting to get me the most for my money. Yesterday our e-mails crossed paths about the discount codes and the fact that we both got the discount, me on a new reservation and her by modifying my old one. The same rate for both but she was able to keep my free photo pass photo, meal voucher for Planet Hollywood and the free gift from there too! I called today and after checking to see if the "Q" codes gave me the same savings as the "R" codes from yesterday I had the CM cancel the reservation I made yesterday to release the hold I had on the room.

It is always best to know what you can get then hand it over to an expert to assist you in getting it. If she won't assist you and the AAA rates are still best call another agent with AAA in another location then fire your current agent. Remember she is there to assist you, even if you are being a pain, and I'm not saying that your are, but even if you are that is really to bad. Does she want your business or not?

If you can do just as well without AAA I would love to recommend my TA, let me know and I can PM you her e-mail address, she has been absolutely wonderful and I can be a real pain thanks to the information and rumors from these boards and other boards.

I am an AAA TA and if anyone just needs some help, pm me. I can at the very least answer some questions for you. I am not soliciting any business here. (got in trouble for saying I could help once before). So either just post your question or pm. I will try to help.

There are 4 floors in Pop...just checked my book!

call Disney with questions....I don't even call her unless there's a rate I need to get and I have to walk her through it and when she says 'i couldn't get that' i have to say can you please try again...then she's always nice when she realizes I was right....

I just feel guilty.

Can you tell me more about this? My AAA agent never said anything about this stuff. We have a package with dining for 2/1-2/7.

She's gonna hate me, but if I qualify for more stuff, well then, gimme, gimme, gimme! ;)

and I'm afraid to try to get money back, etc...
Plus I have cancellation insurance which would not be refunded.
So I saved $116 off original AAA package deal.
Disney would have been less but without trip insurance.

I get that feel as well, like im bothering my TA, if she could just apply this new code that would allow me the extra perks, i'd leave her alone...

My only problem with using a AAA agent for this vacation (room only) and even with other travel agents is that whenever i call Disney with a question on a booking they say i have to go through the agent that booked it. They say they can't even access my AAA ressie to add ME. While I understand they want to make sure the agent gets commission and is aware of all that's going on, I am paying for this, I am travelling, and I will be dealing with problems if they are there when I arrive.

That being said, my first AAA agent was not knowledgeable or helpful at all. When I went in to add an extra night, he was not available so I spoke with someone else. She has been wonderful and I now insisit on talking with her when I need something. So it seems its not just the AAA office you use but even the individual agents can be night and day in the level of service. Even so it still bothers me that I have to go through her for everything.

When we booked our MYW package a few weeks ago that was part of the package. It was also always listed on the DW site for vacation planning. After you entered all your choices they had three tabs at the top of the page one was called Disney suggested alternatives or something like that. The package includes 1 free 5x7 photo pass, 1 meal voucher for Planet Hollywood per booking, not per person which I think is kinda dumb and 1 voucher for a free gift from Planet Hollywood. The meal voucher is a limited offer and I don't know the details, the gift is probably some piece of junk and you have to pick it up prior to I think 6:00. I thought I would not get those when she modified yesterday but she was able to keep those for us.

My SIL ended up cancelling her membership with AAA and her reservations, and ended up going with our TA from It's a Small World. Even with the cancelation fee, she ended up getting a better deal! She also mentioned her TA from AAA was not very knowledgable and often she felt like she was putting her out when she would ask questions. Like someone else mentioned that "oh no, not you again" additude. What do you mean she actually said don't call her with anymore codes!? Isn't it her job???

double check my agent's math for me?? If so, pm me and I'll give you details of the trip so I can see if she got me the best deal.
