I was so excited about taking my children to CRT for oup upcoming Free Dining Trip, but I am beginning to change my mind. We have done CRT breakfast 3 years ago, but this time thought we would try dinner for something different.
The recent reviews are horrible. Has anyone had good food here recently. We are O.K. with only the floor show b/c we have done Princess Storybook and almost evry character meal offered. We have not done 1900 Park Faire. I am now wishing I had booked this instead, but I am sure it is booked.
Any advice?

If you are really wishing for Park Fare instead then call and see if you can get an ADR.
Personally I would do CRT. We had dinner there in February and I really enjoyed it. Loved the food too. I had the spring roll appy (SO YUMMY!), devoured the bread and really different but great butter, and had the pasta entree and it was absolutely delicious (I wanted to lick the bowl!). My DH and mom had the prime rib and thought it was ok, loved the sides though, they both loved their appys and dessert. My daughter wasn't into her meal (the kids fish entree), but she somehow survives on air anyway and I would have been surprised to see her actually eat, plus she was exhausted.
We just loved the experience too. This time we're trying for CRT at lunch, DD wants a more princessy experience this time, otherwise I would do dinner again. I really liked it.

I wouldn't try to change it the food looks good - I would love to go there but I will wait til my daughter can appreciate it.princess:

I was just there in July...here is my 2cents

The food rather good, with the exception of dessert. We went for dinner and enjoyed the little show, but it is much better if someone in the group is celebrating something. Lunch is deff better if you have younger girls, more princessy...but regardless it is pretty magical!

That is the only reason you need. You are excited and you have the ADR, go!

What is the difference between dinner and lunch, except for the food? We had breakfast last year and decided to do dinner this year. At breakfast the princesses came to our table. Is this the same for dinner?

Dinner is different. The only princess is Cindy and she just stays in the entryway for pictures. The show upstairs is the Fairy Godmother and a couple of mice, the FG doesn't go to the tables, the mice kind of do while they dance around. One of them scared the heck out of my 9 month old. She stuck her face right in her face and she certainly wasn't expecting that! It was cute though. We loved our pictures with Cindy!
