Should I Call My Guide?

So, after a couple of years, we have pretty much determined that if we are buying into the DVC, the only place we'll buy direct is the new Kingdom Tower (And I'm willing to buy in at a much higher point value because that is the place we want). Otherwise, we'll simply buy resale at SSR and just the amount of points we'll need for a week of WDW in late August.

I've never talked to my guide Joan yet, so should I call her up and tell her this is what we are planning? Is it even worth the time since legally she can't say that KT will be DVC resort? Will she laugh at me?

yeah, until there is something she can actually DO, it would be pointless to contact her...

The only thing she can do is add you to a mailing list for future promos and announcements. If/when KTV is announced, DVC will open sales up to members first for a period of time. After that, she would be able to contact you to see if you're still interested.

I think you should call. If there is any chance of them keeping a list, the sooner you are on it, the better.

OK, so I called anyways.

I told her our plans and also told her I realized they still can't say anything.

The one thing I got from her was Saratoga Springs will be sold out come Mid-June, which isn't very far away.

Also, if Kingdom Tower doesn't become a DVC, the only thing left will be Kidani Village (got a hard time believing they want to limit themselves to that).

She indicated that current DVC owners may NOT be given the chance to buy before anybody else. Don't know if it is true, but she said they only time they did that was with AK.

Lastly, she did put me on a "list" of people to call if and when it is announced.

They also offered SSR to current members before general public.......we added on at SSR before points were available to general public. I don't know about any of the others, but, I do know it was done before with SSR.
