Should I buy Tickets online or when I arrive?

I bought my 6 day parkhopper for $216 online, on the Disneyland website under Tickets. They charged me $5 for shipping. I got the actual paper ticket that I will be using when I get to Disneyland. I have done this now for my last three trips.

Do they charge $5 per ticket or $5 total for all the tickets you order? (Sometimes hese extra charges remind me of all the extra 'fees' that airlines and hotels charge).

agnes!

I don't think there is any sales tax on the park tickets in the Disney Stores in any state. We bought some here in WA and they were the same price as the ones on the DLR website. I asked them about this at the store and they said there is no sales tax on park tickets.....It's the same as buying them in advance at the DLR website. With the price of tickets, and some people spending several hundreds of dollars, it doesn't seem that it would be feasible for the stores to offer them (in states where there is a sales tax) or for people to buy them there (as you mentioned) if there was a tax added on. :)

You paid sales tax, but it was built into the price not added on.

Site like ARES, don't pay tax because they are reselling a product. So they set up thier corporation in a manner where they don't need to collect sales tax. This provides a margin between the Disney price for which them to make profit.

It's the same with LMT and many other sites. This is their basic business model.

It is $5 for the whole order if they mail the tickets. If you do an e-ticket- there is no charge.

It's is $5 for you whole ticket order. $5 for US lower 48 states or will call.
You can pay $15 for express US mail. $25 for express international.

I'm not sure it's to make more profit like at a hotel or airline or bank. The e-tickets are so simple that I think the mailing fees are more of a disincentive.

When I worked at a bank we started a fee to have coins changed to cash for non cutomers. There were many people coming in with piggy banks. Usually about $40. So we made a $3 fee. This kept most people from coming to the bank for this. Which freed the tellers from this unprofitable task.
