should I buy Tickets for my son ?

I know people say oh they're only JUST 3 or whatever but, really, where do you draw the line? Disney's age for a child ticket is 3 and they're not forcing anyone to go to their parks so if people don't think it's fair then they don't have to go. I'm sure there are many factors that limit what rides people can go on other than age.. My mum has various health problems and if she went to WDW again she would be very limited with regards to this but wouldn't have the option of a reduced cost ticket, nor would she expect it.

It all boils down to rules are rules. Why do some people have the attitude of "ah yes but they don't mean us"

Yes some people may feel it's unfair but where do you stop?

e.g There are rules that nobody can park on your private drive - how would you feel if somebody did just that and you couldn't park but they turned round and said "well I didn't think it meant me and I was just nipping to the shop for 5 mins......"

If we all have this attitude of "it's doesn't really matter" it's never ending.

We are going to Disney with my parents for the first time in December. They are spritely seniors but there are loads of things they can't go on. My mother has high blood pressure, and my father has back problems.

Do I think that they shouldn't pay for a ticket as they won't get half the enjoyment out of the park that I would? No.

Would I try and 'sneak' them in if I thought we could get away with it, or try and get senior discounts at places as they might only be a few weeks off the age limit? No.

Do I think it is fantastic that I can be at my favourite places with my favourtie people, that I have the fortune to have the finances to do it, and that I bought their Disney tickets for them for my enjoyment as much as theirs? Absolutely.

I would always buy the right ticket because it is the right thing to do and plus my face would probably look extremely guilty every single time I entered a park.

The other thing I just thought about but no doubt someone can inform you better. Is when you use the fast pass machines you need to use your ticket to get the pass and they only let one person one fastpass in the fastpass lane. I honestly don't know if they would let your child on with you without a fastpass ticket or not. Just a thought.

Plus the fact that people that don't buy tickets for their small children risk the cost of all tickets going up for the rest of us.

Ask yourself, will you be using the facilities and watching shows in Disney - toilets parades - they have running costs too

think about it this way..
CM asks "how old are they"
You: 2, turns 3 next month (for example)
Kid: No i'm not i'm 3

imagine the embarrassment. and regardless of how much you try to pre-brief them about what to say if anyone asks their age; they're bound to slip up at some point - they're only young.
also, if disney catch you breaking the rules, they could refuse admission to your entire party.
disney could demand id to prove they're under 3, what would you do then.
buy a ticket and have done with, that way you know you're covered.
