i think it would be better to buy a ticket then you wont panic every time you go through a turnstile.
I know both my children would have great pleasure in showing me up at that age telling people how old they are , and i couldnt live with myself if i was caught out as it was . Buy a ticket then the problem is no longer there.

I know you're not asking about the morality of the situation, merely wondering whether you'll get away with it. Depends how you define getting away with it, I suppose. How would you feel if you won one of the big prizes in the Year of a Million Dreams giveaway and were then disqualified because they discovered you hadn't bought your 3 year old son a 3 year old's ticket? Does that make your dilemma any easier?

you know the people who have told me not to buy my youngest a ticket is unreal. and she will be 5 by the time i go.

i have got her a ticket though. i couldnt do it, my nerves would have been shatterd and its just wrong, i know of people who put there 4 year old in a stroller and got away with it.

i dont agree that my 13 year old should be treated as an adult either

but when i looked into this holiday i looked into all th is and knew that also she was calssed as a child for flying and hotel for the parks and dinning she is an adult.

we are talking about a 3 yr old here not some adult who has ripped disney off many times by claiming their aged 11+ kids are under the age of 9..

i personally would buy the ticket,it just seems wrong not to! i would just feel guilty,everytime i entered a park,knowing i hadn't bought a ticket,but that's just me!!!!!!!!!

Maybe another way too look at it would be:--
You would have to make your child lie to anyone who may ask him/her there age,and that isn't setting a very good example for your child.We constantly tell our children lying is wrong/bad,that they should'nt do it and yet you would be happy for them to do it this time round cos it saves you a few quid .(i am not saying that the op is thinking of doing this if they don't buy a ticket-but explaining that ANYONE who had this in mind would have to make there child lie about there age).x.

I suppose it all comes down to how honest you feel! i'm assuming that you will try to do it for all parks visited?I'm sure that WDW has seen it all before so would expect them to ask for proof but i could be wrong.I would look at it this way for all those that have been lucky enough for the child being under 3 when visiting good for you that WDW don't charge because in theory if you can ride an attraction they could charge.
Before I get flamed for being holier than thou I should point out that the board rules state that there shouldn't be any posts that encourage the breaking of WDW rules!

Thank u all for your input, ye si do know im breaking the disney rules if i decide not 2 buy my DS a ticket, my kids are 4 and 3 when we will be in disney this year, but they only go on its a small world, its the only bloody ride that doesnt scare them , so i do feel its a bit much paying all that money 4 a 3yr old just to walk around the park, i think disney should mve the lower limit 2 4 for a child not 3, aslo the same for universal and IOA, i mean what can a 3yr old really do in IOA?? not much, its all about making money 4 them, hey ho.. but i love florida so i will prob end up buying a 6 day child hopper pass $372

They are also probably going to watch the shows, parades, fireworks, meet the characters, ride the train, the monorail, have fun in Mickey's Toon Town etc., and be bowled over by the whole Disney experience. The Ticket price is is so much more than a few rides

But then you'd get this whole debate about not buying a ticket for a 4 year old so they have to set their limits some where.

It's obviously your decision to make but as I said above the ticket price gives you a lot more for your money than a few rides

When we took our dd who was 3yrs+2wks for the first time to WDW-we bought her a ticket for every theme park we went to-that is the rule.I can understand what you are saying about your child only probably riding one ride.But your child will be watching shows,parades,seeing the characters,having pics taken with them,having a great time in Toontown,and for you to watch+experience the sheer delight your child will go thru and watch the look upon his face-surely that is worth the price of a ticket????.
Our dd also went to US/IOA,once again less here for her to go on than at WDW,but a ticket was purchased again,just to watch her interact with the characters,shows etc..She also loved Seuss Landing we spent about 2 hrs if not more just there,we deffinatley got our money's worth,not just here but to ALL the parks we went to.x.

I think what it comes down to is that the charge for a 3 year old is a bit high but not to buy a ticket would be illegal and if anything unfortunate was to happen you'd have no come back against Disney as you've entered without a ticket. We think lots of things are priced too highly but we still buy them as otherwise that would be stealing. For every person who enters without a ticket it means the price goes up for those who do buy a ticket.
