I have gone to WDW yearly almost yearly since for the last 20 years. Some years 2 trips. Even though I think of myself as a veteran I still look at the latest copy at my local library prior to going. Good luck.

I get the Unofficial Guide and Birnbaum every year whether I go or not. Usually I get them as a very welcome Christmas gift. I just love having them and I pass them on if someone I know or work with is going!

Library is the win win, unless you lose it and then they will charge you quadruple lol. But I had one of these, as my son was much smaller. The greatest benefits was the thrill/scare factor. Things I remembered for decades of going, now looking at from the perspective of a toddler became very eye opening. But with most things, you know a chunk of what bothers your kids or what may startle them. It just gives added perspective and lets you make a more educated decision on what to do, and what to plan for the next go around [/QUOTE

Yes, if only for the cheaper touringplans cost and the in book plans. Plus it's funny too. I went with the easy and the unofficial guide. If you don't or can't stretch your budget any further, the website Undercovertourist.com has a free crowd calendar and day plans. They also do crowd calendars for most of the popular Orlando parks. I prefer the unofficial YouTube because they make videos showing how to beat crowds, do rope drops etc and are pretty fun to watch.

Even though I feel like so much of this information I 'already know', I LOVE getting the Unofficial Guide! It is so much fun to read. The coupons are awesome. I am SUCH a planner, that I truly love just reading the guide. Plus this trip my boyfriend is going to WDW for the first time since he was 9...so I am making him read it with me!

As much as I love “paper” books, I have always been able to find what I need online. So I don’t think I myself would get one. The DISboards seem to be packed with helpful information.

a very good detailed book for planning all things disney. i went to upgrade and it looks like this year they are doing an online edition, while this makes me sad(i love to write and tag things and not have to have the iPad or nook with me) you can look them up online and see. as much as i love this book, I'm off to find another type to hopefully fall in love with.

I love this guide and always get the latest one when planning for a trip. Coming from the UK, it allows for last minute planning whilst on the flight over there.
