Should i buy the 06 or 07 unofficial guide?

We leave in a few weeks for Christmas 06 and I have Birnbaum's book (which i found too basic and without touring plans). (I have also subscribed to TGM and i read these boards). But I want the unoffical guide...mostly to see the touring plans and see how they compare to everything else i have read and heard.

They have 2007 on Amazon for cheaper than I can get 2006, and we are planning to return next year so...would i be ok using a 2007 book for this Christmas?

They always make updates to each edition and the 07 version will have info on the Year of a Million dreams and the new Nemo rides and so forth. Plus it's cheaper. The 06 probably goes out of date halfway through the year because WDW is always changing so much. And like you said you'll need 07 for next year anyways

We have both, and for my $, go with the 07. Then you won't need another one till 08 !!

I say go with the 2007 - I was reading it in the book store today and it has Year of a Million Dreams and the new Nemo rides included. I own the 2006 edition, which still has the Timekeeper and Tarzan Rocks!, which have been gone for a while now. 2007 edition is waaaay more current.

The UG usually releases their new book in Aug or Sep so the 2007 book would be fine to use. Plus, the 2006 book won't have some of the new stuff - the new Nemo ride at Epcot. I'd go with the 2007 book.

I think going with the newest edition is always your best bet to get the most up to date info. Have a great trip.

I bought both, and I'm relying on the 07 edition for my trip that starts tomorrow. It covers the current attractions and events, so it is more relevant.
