Hello,

My DH had no idea that I plan for us to go to WDW again in 2008...tee hee hee.

I have been quoted a fantastic price from TCD (never used them before) for 2 adults for 2 weeks staying at POP at £1800.00 - including disney tickets!!!

if we stayed at a moderate resort it would be £2200.00 but would include free dining.

We will just about afford the POP one so i'm unsure if we can stretch to the moderate resort.

We live on cheese burgers etc when we are there so maybe dd isn't for us?

HELP!!!

What should I do? Should I book?

I thought of a cute way to tell DH about this, when we are on our last day this year and he is upset we are leaving i'll say 'but sweetie we are booked to come again in 12 months!".

(being the accountant he is he'll freak no doubt, but hey a girls got to dream)

That looks a really good price to me, then again Im use to paying for four of us :goodvibes

Go on, go for it you know you want to :wizard:

We stayed at The Pop and loved it, mind you we never spent much time there we were mostly out by 8am at the latest then back in and straight to bed by 10pm.

Book, Book, Book, Book

Not that I want to push you into it or anything ;)

To be honest I would not dream of booking a holiday without talking it through with my husband. We work as a team. I would hope you would be able to talk it through with the hubbie instead of presenting him with a done and dusted deal.:) Don't mean to sound serious or anything.

So I would say get it booked up but only after you confirmed your hubbie does actually want to go again because it is his holiday too. Personally I would stick with what you can afford and not stretch yourself because at the end of the day you are mostly out at the parks or shops.:)

I agree with Bev, you need to include hubbie on the decision.

The prices sound great tho.

You need to work out how much you will spend on food/drinks whilst you are there and then see if the extra £400.00 is worth it.

spoke with DH and he said to book it!!!

I just need to decide now whether to stay in a value resort or not??? :confused3

Excellent. If you have your records from previous trips you may be able to work out what you spent on food to see if the extra money outlay for staying in a moderate resort is worthwhile or not.

DO IT, DO IT ,DO IT, :thumbsup2 :lmao:
:goofy: :tigger: You only live once :goofy: :tigger:

I have to say I'm on the side of the posters (Bev and others) that said talk to him and it looks like you did and it was for the best!
I would also re-iterate only go for what you can afford - unless you're rolling in it - the treat is all about being there, not which hotel you stay at!

I learnt my lesson.
After we came back from WDW in May we were blue and I booked a w/end at Center Parcs for DD's 2nd birthday this september, it was a good deal and I thought as we all had a great time at the water parks at WDW I thought a Center Parcs would be a nice break to cheer us up, and we're a bit fed up with constant round of toddler birthday parties (hope that doesn't make us sound miserable) I thought it was a perfect idea. He went mad
He is now giving up his job to become self-employed again and knowing that days off will be few and far between as has decided to take a two week break inbetween so we can go on holiday to............you've guessed it Orlando!
Now I have to find a buyer for the Center Parcs trip (pm me if you're interested before I put it on ebay!) and will lose money on it.

I'm not against surprises but a two week holiday is a whopper!
I'm booking the segway tour for DH as a thank you for taking us back, thats about the limit on my surprises from now on, I think.

I would stay in a moderate resort if at all possible. They're just not as busy and they still have full food courts like the cheaper hotels. I have stayed at all of the All Star Resorts and Caribbean Beach for the moderate and I have loved them all. The Caribbean Beach is lovely and has many bus stops around the resort. For only £400 it's definately worth it.

And don't the UK have free dine and 2 free night stay they can combine. I saw this is post. Check Virgin Holidays.

I would definatley stay in the moderate but thats as I have stayed in 2 and 1 value although pop was really nice.I am a great fan of the dining plan though as we make full use of it.If you don't think you will use it then you are paying £400 just for the hotel upgrade.I have stayed at POP, CBR and POR and loved them all.Good luck with your decision.I checked attraction tickets direct and they had the free dining plan as well.:thumbsup2
