Should I book through AAA or WDW

Hey all
Does it matter where I book my room? SHould I call AAA or WDW directly and tell them I am a AAA member?

If you want a package you can go thru AAA.
But if you want to book seperately I would recommend going thru Disney.

I just got the greatest rate from AAA, going from regular at WDW $1628 to concierge for $1553.90. Not only do I save $75.00, but I get to go Poly concierge!

The first time my family stayed on Disney property we used AAA and got their rate at the All Star Music resort. The AAA service was very helpful and the rate was very good. After the first trip my family fell in love with Disney! I researched the internet and found Dreams Unlimited Travel. For our past four visits to Disney we have used Dreams. They are excellent! We just booked through WDW and used our AAA and we received great rates! They will ask you at WDW if you are a AAA member.

I used to book packages thru AAA for our first few trips, since we always camped before and I hadn't booked things like this. After finding this site I started booking everything myself. By booking room only ressie through Disney on the phone, I don't have to pay anything but one nights deposit on the room and have a 5 day cancellation window. With AAA packages you have to pay a deposit when booking and the rest is due 45 days before with hefty cancellation policy which is why they Sell you trip cancellation insurance (which of course has many reasons why they may not honor your excuse for cancellation). I also like having the money in my account earning interest and paying the room when we get there rather than in their account for 45 days. I have also booked the Autotrain online myself. They have a AAA discount too.

The more you read these boards the more you will learn.

Last year we used a Disney specialist for the first time. WDWVacations.com (which we found on mousesaver.com) saved us around $800.00. They originally booked us with a AAA discount and then lowered the cost two more times as later discounts came out. They also made our priority seatings for us. I will never again do it myself. Why worry about codes and discounts when the Disney specialist can do it for FREE!!!!!
I am constantly amazed reading the threads about people fretting about getting a better hotel rate. Let someone else take care of it. I should also add that I would never suggest a "regular" travel agent who may know a lot less about WDW than we here on the DIS!
