I'm getting $318 round trip from jfk to FLL dec 27 and returning jan 3rd.(going on a cruise with all six of us.) should i book this now or wait to see if i can get a better fare? The airline is jetblue. I know this is high but I was wondering being it's nye week and the price of gas this might be a good deal. what is your opinion? Thanks, Gina

My steadfast rule when buying airfare (learned the hard way) if you like the airline, if you are OK with the price, buy it! Chances are the prices will only go up. If you wait, you're gambling on getting a lower fare, but could also get a higher one. It's tough to decide, I've been burned on both sides. Good luck!

The peace of mind you will have knowing that your airfare is booked and you have seats for everyone in your party is worth a few extra bucks. I know some people thrive on the hunt, but gambling on lower rates just makes me a nervous wreck. Often, too, with discounted rates you may not be able to find six seats. Once you have bought your tix, though, don't punish yourself by checking to see if the price has gone down! :sunny:

I would most definitely buy it! Not only is it Christmas Vacation! (busiest week) but you need specific dates for a cruise which are not flexible.

if it was an odd week I'd say hmm...but not Christmas vacation..enjoy
