Should I book SW flights today or wait?

I have been waiting for SW to open thier dates today for dates thru April, and I've just finished pricing.

They are still the cheapest, even if I decide to pay the extra $40. in advance, so I will be flying with them.

I originally planned on booking the flights after Xmas, as the resort and cruise has to be paid by Dec. 25th, and I know the flight has to be paid in full. So trying to pay for all three as well as Xmas will be difficult!!

Will I be sorry if I don't book now? Will the price or availablility change alot at the end of January?

I would book today as usually they only have so many seats available at the lowest price, especially if you are going at a popular time of year to travel. Keep in mind that with Southwest, if the fares go down or if they have a sale, you can call them and they will give you a credit without charging you anything. Love Southwest!

I was wondering the same thing!!
I booked coming home as it was only 89 one way but going in March is a little higher and not crazy about the times

I'm also in the same boat. The fares from Houston are not great at all but I don't want them to get worse!

Our fare for 8 people on Jet Blue have gone up just over $1,000 since I bought the tickets a few weeks ago. I wouldn't wait if I were you.

I can't book yet for March because if the flights go down I won't be able to use my credit as I usually go Nov and March. I plan to wait til after we come home in Nov and book then. If I booked now and my flight goes down I would have to use my credits before Sept 6 2012. Before they changed the rules and anyone could use the credits it I would book now and someone else could use the credit if needed. But now I would kick myself if the flight went down and I couldn't use the credit! So I am waiting and hoping for the best!!

Well the prices came out on the 6th and I've spent hours price comparing to other sites etc.... Finally decided to go with SW for sure on the 9:30am flight.

Logged in this morning and the 9:30am flight has already increased by $30/ticket!!!

So I ended up booking the 11:30am flight for the same price, we'll just be a bit later than I wanted to be!

Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it!!

It can't hurt to keep checking. The earlier flight may just go down again. You never know. If it does, it's very easy to change your res to the earlier flight.
