We are planning a trip for September with free dining (hopefully). ADRs will open up in a few weeks so I'd like to book my package in order to take advantage of the 180 +10. Will I have a problem changing the reservation to add free dining once it comes out?

I would ask this on the dining board or theme park strategies board. This board is for news and rumors.

You wouldn't typically have a problem adding a promotion later... Especially in September...

You also wouldn't typically have to book reservations that far out either.

Slow
Month even with promos. They don't sell nearly as many free
Dining packages now
As they did 5 years ago.
That was when all the restaurants were jammed
With included credits.

It's much more "normal" the last few years...and people don't go crazy booking reservations since the credit
Policy went into place.

It killed the ghost reservations that Disney never admitted was a problem... But put in a policy to eliminate nontheleds

You should not have any problems... a simple phone call will do it. Also, Free dining is limited so you NEED to call as soon as possible when FD promo is announced. And definitely take advantage of 180 + 10 adr's, even during the slow or 'Value' times of the year at Disney the most popular restaurants book up quickly. Good Luck !:thumbsup2

I think it's normally May when those discounts pop up. You could check out the historical Disney discounts on mousesavers

I always get flamed for saying this...but I say it anyway:

Please remember that it's a discount program to account for low bookings...

So it's an "if" not a "when" question.

Protect yourself and do not plan according to what you can't count on.
