I have been watching prices for flights and its not looking that great. The last time I went 2006, I spent approx. $275 per. Until Air Tran posted a few days ago the best price I was looking at was $390 and the flight was late afternoon- arrival around midnight. Is Air Tran ok?

Personally, I wait until about 3 - 4 months out. I've found some incredible deals the last five years by waiting. If you book closer to vacation time, there's less chance of schedule changes.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. I am no pro at the travel game. I only fly every two or three years.... longer if I can help it. I have never heard of Airtran and I am a little curious. It appears that some of the flights are non stop which I have never done before. Starting in Boston I usually end up changing planes in Charlotte or Atlanta.

We've flown Airtran the past few years and had very good luck with them. In Nov. we'll be flying our first non-stop with them. They offer the same services (snack and drink) that the other airlines provide. They also have some very good sales. I signed up with all the local airlines for the email fare notification. We're flying for about half the cost as what we're used to.

If you're planning on traveling from Boston during school vacation week I would not advise waiting until only a few months out. It seems all the flights gets filled up almost as soon as they are released. That is why so many of us are anxiously awaiting Jet Blue or SW release dates. When you've got almost every school in New England taking spring vacation at the same time, there just aren't enough plane seats to go around.

We've flown AirTran on both of our trips to WDW. Everything went very smoothly both times! We paid $69 one-way both times! Both non-stop from Pittsburgh. I would definitely recommend flying with them! I am patiently waiting on them to give rates for MAY!!

If your flying out of Boston during Massachusetts school vacation week don't wait too long. The price keep going up. SW out of PVD or MHT will probably be high as well. When Jet Blue opened for our Feb school vacation it started at $819.00.
I have been watching the flights since they first started coming out in May. I just bought mine with Air Tran. Going on the Disney cruise.
Good luck!

AirTran had great rates out of Boston...around $248 direct round trip. We are flying AirTran out of White Plains next April for $223 DRT. You can't beat that!

A agree with the others. If you are flying April school vacation week, I would not wait to book it. In my experience the fares only went up, not down and the flights fill to capacity.
