I know packages for 2007 are not available yet but I am wondering if I don t book a hotel now if by the time packages are released if everything will be full. I want to wait for packages because they may decide which resort we actually stay at, but I also don t want to wait and find that there is no room at the inn.We plan to be there Easter Sunday and the following Monday and Tuesday.

Not sure if this helps or not....we booked Easter 06 in October of 05 using our DVC points...we have points at both SSR and OKW...we normally go from Thurs to Sat (10 days) with Easter in the middle...we could only go till the following Thurs...no rooms (2 bdr) available at either resort for the second Thurs/Fri for this yr...not sure if it was a coincidence or because we booked later than normal...also we did adr's out as far as we could (we had a large party.....so we wanted to make sure we could get the number of diners at the places we really wanted)

I would say book a room only reservation now. You can always cancel it if you change hotels, or add a package later when they come out. At the least, this will guarantee you a room where you want it. We went last year at that time and not all rooms were available when we started calling (I think it was September). Even for March 2007, when I called there were some minor things not available already (and that's not a holiday time period like you are looking for). Just another opinion out there!

Hi,

I just booked Pop Century for Easter, because I was worried that it would fill up.

I am waiting for AAA to come available soon. And then later, I will try to get an AP rate.

Easter - yes reserve your room. We stay from March 31 to April 14, 2007

We have a double reservation - the Dolphin at a $222.44 (includes tax) AAA rate for a resort view (starwood & return visitor upgrade).

We also have standard CSR room reserved. If we can get an AAA or AP rate down to $125 - we may move to a moderate (against DH's wishes).

We have never stayed in a moderate (we have done WL, CR & S/D).

You can only reserve one WDW resort. But can reserve a WDW resort and another companies hotel at the same time (S/D or off-site).

Reasons for both resorts. Easter will be packed. S/D nice Grotto pool and walk to EPCOT, boat to STUDIO's. CSR - great water silde and pool, if there is a convention, the buses will be less crowded, nice gounds to walk around, Pepper Market has wide variety of food - if the crowds are too much for us to go back for a meal in the parks.

So make you reservations and you can always switch to an AAA or AP rate at that resort or another resort.

I booked POR April 4-8, then I am renting points for BWV april 8-12. I plan on adding MYW Dining Plan. I have the basic right now, so it will just be an add-on.

Hopefully between now and then, there will be some kind of break, but with it being Peak Season, I doubt it, plus I just heard ticket prices are rising sunday, April 6. So if anything I am paying more, with tickets, Dining, and they just added 1% more on taxes. At least I will have it paid off when I go, then I won't have to think about it.
