I am planning our first vacation. I was hoping for a SW $59 flight but those seem to be over. I am not going till Sept so I have time but booking a package with Disney and not having a flight makes me nervous. Airtran has $89 flight and it is not as good as $59 I can't afford these $200 each way flights. What do I do? I am booking 4 tickets from Buffalo.

I would but that is a great price from where I travel from -- I have only done better than that once!

When I made reservations for our trip in January, I booked at $89. Eventually, the fares went down to $59. I called Airtran and was given a credit for future travel. I would probably book at $89. Even if it doesn't come down, it is a decent fare.

$89 would be lowest I've ever seen from Syracuse (don't have AirTran or SW, just JetBlue in terms of low cost carriers). I'd probably drive from Syr to Buff just for that fare :)

Anything UNDER $200 is a great price to me - especially to Orlando. $59 is a wonderful its just not guaranteed. And you really can't start TRUE planning until you book your flights, so if your dates are available, I'd jump on it quickly!!!! One day my dates where available, the next day – they were NOT!!!! I had to knock out a day, don’t make my mistake.:yay:

I'd grab the $89 flight. That is the best I could find from the Rochester airport for Airtran. Good luck!:goodvibes

$89 is usually the lowest from BUF to MCO on Airtran. Sometimes they will have a sale for $69, but it won't go lower than that.

We are holding out for SW release just for the n/s flights at the times we want. Last September, I paid $103 R/T on SW from Buffalo in September, but with the SW rate increase and the recent lack of good DINGS, I don't expect to do that well again. I am figuring more like $79 each way unless a good DING comes out, so the Airtran rates are good. If the N/S flights were at the time I wanted, I would grab Airtran now. :)

WOW!! An $89 flight If I can ever get a flight for under $225.00 am lucky. I would grab that $89.00 flight in a heartbeat.

I say to book also! On Wednesday, I booked our family trip to Disney on Airtran for $87 each way. A little more than last summer, but not a huge difference. They told me they would give me a credit if the prices went down, so I figured, why not??? I just checked today, and actually, most of the $87 fares are LONG GONE!!! Don't wait!!!

We always fly for $59 each way between Buffalo and Orlando. We used Southwest last September for $59 each way. We used Southwest earlier this month originally for $59 each way and then dings reduced it to $44 each way. I just booked Airtran for this June for $59 each way. We have never paid more than $59 each way, but I got nervous with Southwest's current fares listed so that is why I booked Airtran.
