Should I be expecting stuff like this more often?

Hard to say. The whole thing is so random in what they do or do not send. When the program started we were already Gold (had been for a couple years/cruises) and we received 2 Gold magnets (even though we hadn't taken a cruise yet).

When we reached Platinum, we got only 1 magnet.

So, who knows?

Did the two people who just reached platinum each get a magnet? Or just one magnet for the two?

My best guess is it's one gift per address. So you (separately) might or might not get your own magnet.

Do you know if they keep track of which ones you have received? We have received three different ones for three different cruises. Is that just luck?

I have doubles of some...I think it is just random.

I've learned to not expect anything from Disney Travel, other than the necessities like travel documents. I've gotten these types of goodies post cruise before, but this time, I didn't even get the confirmation brochure after booking my cruise. Some of my cruise mates got them, but I never did. When I called my TA, who then called DCL, we're told that they're not sending them out any more so basically, you get what you get, and you don't throw a fit. A throwback to kindergarten classroom policies.

We got 2 silver magnets, but we had 2 rooms. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

After 5 cruise we finally got a silver magnet in the mail last week, We also received a CC card with all 4 family members CC number on it.
Some of the other trips were in concierge and we always get a lithograph poster. Maybe that is why we did not get anything before.
