I need advice- I've never traveled with a child before so I'm not sure what to do...

I have air on Southwest booked and a 2 br villa at BCV for 10/3-10/10. When I booked my air the non stop flights were really high so I booked a cheap flight with a layover and then intended to see if the non stop went down in price and switch them. Well they haven't - so it will cost us $280 more to do a non stop right now.

Of course the day before we arrive non stop flights are like $88 pp so I wouldn't have to pay any more for those. I work in the travel industry so I could do a room at pop for like $50. My parents are staying at AoA that night in a LM room. I'm not sure if 1 night at a hotel, then switching will be a pain with a toddler, though.

so which would you choose of these options:

1. Change to a 2 hr non stop flight on 10/3 and pay $280
2. Keep the connecting flight and spend 4 hours flying with a 19 month old.
3. Fly non stop the day before and stay at Pop for 1 night $50, but have to go to bed at 8pm when toddler goes to bed
4. Fly non stop the day before, switch parent's room to AoA family suite and pay $50 towards that (they already paid $100 and I can get a suite for around $150) so we won't have to go to bed at 8pm.

:confused3

Sounds to me like the last option is the best, and least headache involved...plus has the benefit of allowing you to check out the AoA suite!

Option 4 sounds great! You would have the grandparents to help with your toddler! :cool1:

I am with #4, sounds great!

#4 sounds the best. Same thing happened to us with airfare prices, so we are going a day early and staying at POR before 7 nights at the poly. From what I understand the luggage transfer is very easy. We will just get up and go to a park after leaving the luggage with bell services and head back to the poly that afternoon.

I'd switch your parents to the Suite and go with that option!

I am in the travel industry how can I get a room at Pop for $50? I'm paying the current rate at time of stay.
