Should DLR introduce one-park-only multi-day tickets?

Obviously with just two parks, it's best to keep things simple, but would you support the idea of different multi-day tickets, where you'd only have admittance to one park for one day, and another park for another day (so you couldn't hop, but the tickets would be cheaper). It would basically be multi-day single-park tickets.

From something I was reading a few weeks ago, I think that's how they started.

But no one used the tickets to go to DCA.

So they made them hoppers.

But I might be remembering this about APs, not multi-day tickets....

Anyway, in answer to your question, no. Though it might make DCA less crowded FOR ME!!!!!!! :)

They are doing that with the SoCal 2Fer pass right now - if you live in southern California and you buy a one day, one park ticket, they give you a second one day, one park ticket, only good at the other park, which you have to use within 30 days of first use. I know several people who have made a second trip to visit DCA, which they otherwise would not have done. One nice thing about the 2Fer - if it's your birthday, and you live in southern California, that's the ticket you get, so you actually get two free park days instead of one!

Yeah, when we had our APs several years ago (can't quite remember what year), we got to choose between an AP for both parks and an AP for one park. We chose the AP for both parks and then not long after we bought our APs they switched it so all the APs had both parks. To compensate for the fact that we paid more for what they were now giving everyone, our APs were automatically upgraded from SoCal to Deluxe. I'm not sure about mulit-day tickets either but I'm guessing it was probably the same.

I wish they did that. I'm honestly not really a fan of DCA (maybe it will grow on me with this upcoming trip, but we'll see) and I would so much rather have the option to just buy a cheaper ticket that will only get me into DL.

Well, here's the thing. Yes, I think DLR should have that DL-only/multi-day option for people who only want to go to DL for several days in a row. And in the old days (meaning the '90s!), that was what we did - we had multi-day passports to DL only because there was no DCA to go to. But I can see their reason for wanting to push DCA on people - they need more people to visit DCA and like it!

However, seeing that Toy Story Midway Mania quickly became either my new favorite ride or in my top two favorite rides, not to mention the fact that Soarin' and Monsters Inc. are in DCA, along with Aladdin and A Bug's Land (which I love), I would most likely never buy a Disneyland-only multi-day ticket for myself, and I would ONLY get a ticket/passport or an AP that included both parks. That's exactly what they needed to do at DCA - stick a few key rides in there to make it impossible to stay away from. And it worked!! I suspect, with the upcoming Little Mermaid ride and the Toy Story musical, I will have even more reasons to want to go into DCA.

Single park each day passes is what Costco has carried for awhile. They might not carry them any longer, now that they offer the deluxe, but they used to.
Personally, I want to be able to hop, so I wouldn't be in support of the type of tickets you are suggesting.

you used to have to do that, when I was a kid if we wanted to do both parks in one day you had to buy two tickets, at least thats what I remember I also remember we didnt go to DCA until park hoppers were available for one day. :confused3

Are all the tickets good for both parks? :confused3 We plan to convert
WDW non expiring park hopper tickts to use when we are at DL but I was worried that the park hopping feature wouldn't convert and we'd be stuck in a single park each day. I'd like to be able to go between each park back and forth for all 3 days we plan to be there.

We had AP's the year DCA opened and they gave us the choice when we renewed for single park or both. We got both but could of easily been happy with DL only. I think single days would be fine if or when I should say DCA is done with the big redo. Right now I can stay at DL all day for a week and never miss or want to go to DCA LOL
