TDC - Yes you can ,but remember to behave nicely !
but dont change the bottom line and that is that this restaurant in a Disney Resort is now discriminating.
But all joking aside, I've been told that adults CAN'T go to the Princess Tea Party. I've been told that the parents of the kids aren't even allowed to attend. Is this correct info? (If I'm wrong, please correct me).
Actually, this webpage lists at least 4 different activities at the GF that have age restrictions for kids 4-12 only:
http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/grandadven.htm
So, am I right in saying that there ARE currently age-restrictions at WDW that are ALL actually in favor of kids under 10 (or under 12 in some cases) already? Excluding alcohol-related/lawful age related events I mean.
Sounds "discriminating"....
If this info is true, than why would putting age restrictions on V&A even be an issue?
and what about other age restrictions? How come I have to pay ten dollars more to eat at CRT breakfast (as an adult) than a child aged 3-9? I only weigh 110 pounds and I eat like a bird. I have a friend who actually has a 9 year old boy who weighs more than me and he also eats double in portions than I do. He would likely eat more than me at this buffet, yet he is charged less.
and why can't I have a beer at CRT? I'm a light drinker and I promise to "behave"...now, there MIGHT be others there drinking who get a bit loud and obnoxious from their beers-would you rather wait until they spill beer on your kid's dress during her photo with Cinderella before they give that one strike to get kicked out? Likely not because now your child's experience has been ruined.
I am NOT saying that I am actually serious about being ticked off with the above age restrictions. I know what is appropriate for my age, I understand why age restrictions are put into place, and I don't feel discriminated against. I also know that WDW is large enough that I have SEVERAL other options to choose from.
I am just saying that there are currently age restrictions already in place, some for reasons of social appropriateness and some based on a norm population.
These age restrictions are in favor of the under 10 crowd and I've never heard anyone seriously complain about them. So WDW decides to throw adults a bone ONE time to allow adults to enjoy a special "adult experience" (just like kids enjoy "kid experiences" at the P&P party), why would anyone complain about that?
I have alot of faith in WDW. They have done an amazing job so far in making this place as grand as it is and marketing it to ALL ages, economic status, interests, etc...They have done an amazing job so far and they are obviously responding to a significant number of guest requests.
Is it truthfully going to ruin your child's entire vacation because he/she can't go to 1 out of over 100 restaurants until they are a few years older? It's not like they can never go, they just need to wait a couple of years.
Makes me wonder though-the parents who are upset by this: are any of you upset by this because YOU wanted to go to V&A during your trip, but now you can't because you are traveling with children?
