ADPOA Club Jester said:I still want to know why some people think using an old mug is worse then stealing yogurt & filling it up in your mug? The mugs were made for Soda, Coffee, Tea & Hot Chocolate, they were not used for frozen yogurt. Eventhough WDW says you need to purchase a new mug, how many do you think do that? So eventhough we are using old mugs we are not breaking any rules because we use the mugs for sodas. I would have thought when someone who is clearly stealing you would be more upset about, but for the life of me I don't see why people using old mugs & not buying new mugs is a bigger deal?
You're asking two entirely different questions! You started out asking if the CM should have said something and people answered with various reasons why the CM may not have. No one was condoning stealing the frozen yogurt as the morality behind it was NOT your original question, people were simply answering on behalf of the CM and all CMs that watch people stealing from Disney without saying a word.
Had you asked, "Hey! Do you think it's wrong to steal frozen yogurt by putting it in your refillable mug?" you would have had COMPLETELY different responses. You're the one trying to draw a distinction between the two actions acting as if what you do is better than what that person was doing. . . in reality they are both theft, plain and simple and it just sounds like you need to justify it to yourself and are looking for someone to tell you it's ok and that's just not going to happen. If you're comfortable "getting away with it" that's your deal, just remember that no matter how you try and paint the picture it is and always will be theft. Do you walk into McDonald's with a cup you bought 5 years ago and get refills? What makes Disney any different? Because you don't have to specifically ask a CM for a refill, you can nonchalantly do it yourself?
