I was wondering this because a few days ago made a reservation for 2 br villa at OKW for March 9-11. So it was basically a month. Has anyone else got in within a month, like a week or two weeks?

I've actually had pretty good luck booking within a month or two of March. This year was more difficult than it's ever been. I was also able to get a week in February booking in January but it was a real nail biter on the wait list.

I once booked a day ahead. It was a holiday too! We had airline trouble when NWA was on strike a few years ago, and they could only get us there on time by sending us a day early. I called MS and was able to get the day on points! They even linked it to the rest of my ressie, so we didn't have to change units.

Once I called on Monday and asked for anything available that Friday and Saturday - We were able to get a studio at OKW. It was great fun

I have booked a 1br at okw in october within a month. Originally was booked for check-in on Sept. 12, 2001. Needless to say, this date did not work out very well. Managed to book 4 weeks later.

Booked at a month out for an early December trip.

We scored a two bedroom at VWL 37 days out.... this past September... We had to waitlist for it, but got it in less than 3 days.

I have been known to book in the morning and fly out in the afternoon.

Our shortest booking was done while standing in the Magic Kingdom watching the Share A Dream Come True Parade. We finished watching the parade, and then went over and checked into our room

have booked lots of times within days of wanting to be there without a problem but we usually stay in OKW and I think we have more chance of availiblity there being that OKW is bigger.

Most of the time it's been for wknd trips too - and many DVC'ers don't like to stay wknds because the points are higher so that probably contributed to availibility as well;)

Our shortest time frame was Hilton Head in August... We called the day before and we were able to get in for 1 night! :bounce:

2 weeks notice in August is the shortest time frame I've ever tried to get a reservation. No availability at our home resorts, but we were able to book at OKW and enjoyed our first stay there.

Last august...made a ressie at VWL after dinner, for the next day

I have done it less than a month several times at OKW - but December, 2002 - I decided instead of sharing a studio with some friends at VWL - to try to stay somewhere by myself - this was November - guess what got a standard view at the BWV for those 2 days - the MS was as surprised as I was - I would only take standard view - otherwise I wanted VWL.

this was less than 30 days. I think it was close to THanksgiving and it for the first week in December.

Oh I was prepared to stay at OKW thinking if any were availaiblity it would be here - but I guess I got lucky!!!!

We were driving my moms car down to West Palm Beach on December 26 (she was flying) and we decided to see if we could get a 1 bedroom at our home resort, BWV for that evening.

We got it...

A couple hours later while still driving, we decided to call back and see if we could get it for 2 nights...we got it!

Just lucky I guess.

For a last minute trip we got a one bedroom at BWV for December 15 for five nights with calling eight days before. :) We tried to add on while we were there but there wasn't a single room available in any DVC. :(

Last March during spring break time we planned a 7 day cruise and then 7 days at Boardwalk.

Day before we left for the cruise I was gathering up our documents and noticed I had booked BWV for the same week as the cruise. OH NO! I called - virtually 8 days prior to when I wanted to go and they were able to switch my reservation.

Yes, we were lucky.

On January 1st we were at DVC buying SSR points and also managed to get some BCV points as an add on. Asked if we could stay that night at BCV and we got a 1 bdr villa. Bought the points and used them all in one day!

We made a reservation 5 hours before check-in.:teeth:

We were driving down in 2002 for 1 night at AKL, then on to the Wonder for 4 days. We planned on stopping overnight in Georgia, we even had a hotel room booked ahead of time. Once we arrived at our stop in GA, they couldn't check us in because their computer system was not working. It was only 3:00 in the afternoon (we were way ahead of schedule) so we decided to keep on driving, since we were only about 5 hours away. We called MS from GA, asked what was available that night, and got a studio at OKW. We checked in around 8:00 pm, then headed over to AKL the next day!

Same story...we booked at 11:30 am on the day we wanted the villa for. Had planned to stop in Georgia, but decided to drive through. Not much selection, but we did get a place to stay!
