Will be at Sineyland Monday, April 9 through Wed. Planning on going to DCA on Monday. I assume Aladdin will be playing since it is a Spring Break week. I heard there can be a long wait. What is the best strategy to insure the minimum wait in line aside from VIP tickets? Go to the first show? How soon should you get in line? Is the schedule for that day posted somewhere?

Sineyland, that sounds like fun!! Where is it???

Okay, just kidding with you, couldn't resist!! Look up the calendar at Disneyland.com and it will tell you times for all the shows while you are there. Then you can better plan!!

Oh forgot to add, we never get in line for Aladdin till about 20 minutes before and never had a problem getting great seats!! I prefer up higher (won't tell you why because I don't want to spoil parts of it!) but I go during off season so hopefully some peak season folks can help you out!

Our family's preferred seating for Aladdin is 1st row center of the Mezannine level. PERFECTION!

Yep, I LOVED the balcony as well. Balcony near the edge is fantastic. Its perfect as you can see everything so well, and your not straining your neck to watch jasmin and aladdin fly over the audience on the carpet. I dont think I would want to see it any other way.

We've sat in the balcony and on the main floor. We like the main floor. The balcony is really high so if you are afraid of heights or have someone in your party that is, like we do then I would suggest the lower level. As for the VIP Tickets. If you buy a disney package then you get those tickets. We've gotten them twice and used them once. The first time we missed because too many people already in line and the second time we got to use them. I don't see a need for them unless you want to sit right down in front. Or if you are going at a really busy time then you for sure would want to get in line early. It's a very good show, we for sure will be watching it again in July. :cool1:

We haven't gotten our paperwork yet, but I know we will be receiving VIP tickets. How do these work?

Hmmmm. Check the schedule, as Aladdin generally is off on Mon-Tue, even during high season.

Well I see in June the show times are 12:25, 1:55, 4:10, 6:05 - which of the times would be best to attend (i.e. shortest time in line beforehand).

WOW, Aladdin is still at DCA? No offense to anyone, but Blast! was so much better, I saw it everytime I went to DCA. Aladdin I saw once, was not impressed...not up to Disney standards IMHO.

Just had to chime in since I assumed Aladdin had been replaced with a new show by now, Blast was only there for a year or so if I remember correctly.

Opinions differ, but most opinions are that this show is one of the best (if not the best) Disney has offered at its parks.

wow , I must have missed something, I've thought that Fantasmic! is the best show in any of the parks.

To each their own I guess.

so all of the lines starting at noon and ending with the 6pm show should be the same?

I am interested in this answer as well...any ideas from those who have used these?

I don't have all my paperwork yet, but from the brochure it appears that we are getting tickets to a preferred showing of Turtle Talk, not VIP tickets to Aladdin. However, on our invoice it mentions the TT preferred showing and then in a different line item states DCA preferred seating. Maybe this is Aladdin. :confused3 Can anyone clarify what comes with the AAA packages? How long is the Aladdin show, btw?

Ah, nevermind. I just saw the other thread that got bumped. I responded to that one quite some time ago, so I guess I'm not doing a very good job retaining this info. :rotfl2:

We got in line about one hour early. It was fun...we sat on the cement and met everyone around us. They even told us where the best seats were! If you want the best don't sit right in the very front.
Sit in the seats behind where the elephant with the prince and the other animals come thru...the first row in the middle section...not the orchestra, the one behind that. Great show and realllyyyyy worth the wait!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try to follow your advice and sit in the middle!:thumbsup2

Personally I thought it was dreadful and wouldn't waste the time. If you're set on going however, remember that the loge (front center balcony) is better seating than a lot of the orchestra and that an awful lot of people don't realize that. When we went, everyone was cramming into the orchestra line and we got fantastic seats. Just wish the show had been better.
