Shortcuts To Magic Kingdom

I will be coming to Disney World (first time) to celebrate my 40th B-day at the end of September. I have dinner reservations at the Contemporary and it frustrates me to have to set aside an hour of transportation time just to get to the Magic Kingdom by bus. Any ideas for shortcuts to the Magic Kingdom from the moderate resorts? I am staying at the Carribean Beach Resort and a Disney Vacation Planner suggested that I take the bus to Epcot and take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom? Any advice would be appreciated.

You should take the bus from CBR to the Magic Kingdom. From there, it is a short walk to the Contemporary, or one stop on the monorail.

You can take a taxi cab. I've heard it's less than $10 within WDW.

If you want to visit the Magic Kingdom before dinner then you can walk over to the Contemporary whenever you're ready.

If you are staying at CBR, I agree that the best way is to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and walk over. There is a sidewalk, and cross walk. The walk should take about 5-8 min.
