My dad and I went to Foxwoods today and decided to skip out of there and head to Mystic.
We got there and found a parking spot just in time to see the bridge go up and see some beautiful boats go through. Hope you enjoy this shots.

I knew it would be a beautiful day...took this one on my way to pick up my dad in Dracut.

You know, in all the time I lived up there...I never once saw the bridge in the "up" position. Great pictures, we'll be up there in October...can't wait to take some pictures of the fall foliage and of Mystic if the boats aren't pulled from the water yet.

We were there about 3:30...I am not sure if there is some kind of schedule but I would assume that on a weekend...being a nice day...that time of day there would be a lot of boats coming back in from being out for the day.
This of course is just a guess.

I hope you enjoy your visit in Oct.

Great pics!

The most important question is, how did you do at Foxwoods? I hope you left there like this guy  .

:sad2: NOT so hot Andy...but Dad had fun and that's all that counted!

Is the ice cream shoppe still there, next to the bridge? I have enjoyed many an ice cream there in the past.

Yes it is...matter of fact I took a picture of it. I am on my laptop and I don't have the picture handy but I will post that one as well a bit later.

Here ya go Dave...a pic of the ice cream shop....

YUM!!!!!! I could have used some of that ice cream last night. I grilled a couple of sirloins and some bay scallops on my charcoal grill. A nice cold ice cream would have completed the meal. :thumbsup2
