Well, we didn't want to leave, but our bosses expect us to come back to work. Can you believe that?
I would like to post a very big THANK YOU to KathleenFL for stopping by the site and passing on some bags (!) of very welcome provisions. The extra goodies that she passed on to us saved us a good bit of ca$h at the grocery store once we went out to get supplies, and the toys kept our DD entertained as well. This generosity really helped us to keep the spending down for this trip. Our final bill for Friday - Tuesday was $362, and that included a few souvenirs. We definintely wouldn't have been able to keep the numbers that low without Kathleen's help.
Tag fairy, if you haven't visted KathleenFL, or haven't done so recently, please be sure to do so. She deserves it!
BTW, the ears idea for the trailer was great in concept, but didn't quite work at the site. When I pulled the reversible sign off of the back of the trailer, it pulled off some of the white paint behind it as well, so the sign was unusable. If anyone wants to try this idea, be SURE the paint on the sign is completely dry and that it isn't secured too tightly to the trailer! I'm afraid I locked it down too tightly with the bolts I used and compressed it against the backing to much. Maybe next time it'll work.
Thanks to all on the boards for the help and suggestions provided. It definitely made our trip more enjoyable. Now that we know how affordable the camping can be at the World, we hope to come back on a more regular basis. We've got to get some use out of that trailer now that it's built!
Regards,
- Mark
