Short term car at Art of Animation.

We are doing a Disney Cruise and will be using a rental car to drive to Art of Animation afterwards. We aren't keeping the car once we are on property. Would we have a problem (or charge) if we wanted to drive up to the resort, drop off bags and the family before I drive the car to drop off at the car care center?

Would we be able to have the car on site for short term if we elected to drop off bags at AoA and then head to Disney Springs before getting rid of it?

How is this checked/ enforced? I assume we would have to drive past the gate to get in, just curious if this turns into 20 questions as to why we have a car now but won't for the rest of our time.
