Planning a quick trip in January for the 12th to the 15th. When I look online standard view at Port Orleans (my perferred resort) says there is no standard view available but if I put in 12th to 17th the standard room magically appears available. 😁 So knowing Disney doesn’t like booking short stays on their website would it be better for me to call in my reservation when the winter sales start? What seems to be the best way to get the best price for a short stay? Thanks for your help.

WDW marathon weekend is January 8-12, so the 12th probably has a length of stay requirement attached to it. That said, the garden view room is only $6 more, so I'd probably book that right now and just keep an eye on it for a while. You can always rebook if the standard and/or a promo comes along.

Orbitz/Priceline/Expedia.

Disney doesn't not like short stays. They like fully booked rooms.
