Hello all,

We are now scrambling to plan a super short notice trip from April 29-May 4 at All Star Movies. Dining options are obviously limited at this point, but I'd like some advice for planning for a short trip that's also short notice.

We decided to buy a base ticket instead of a park hopper for the first time ever, so any advice of getting everything done in each park in one day is appreciated.

Can I use my MB from my December trip or do I need to buy new ones, as Disney is not offering me to customize a new MB on MDE.

Thanks!

if you're staying at All Star Movies, you should get magic bands (yes, you can still use your old ones).

If you want tough dining reservations, use touringplans free reservation finder.

While there are plenty of people who plan trips years in advance, I'd caution against stressing about a trip that's nearly two months out and thinking it's "last minute." I think too many people get caught up in the ultra planning of others and put their plans next to them and end up feeling inadequate and stressed out.

You're just a few days behind your would-be 60-day FP+ window. Offsite people have plenty of fun with trips not micromanaged and scheduled half a year out. If you're flexible and don't have rigid demands, you'll get to see and experience a lot.

Thanks! We usually plan a year in advance so two months is short notice for us lol

I'm in the same boat. Just started planning a May trip.
You should definitely be eligible for new magic bands so if it's not giving you the option to customize, call tech support.
Also, you need to do it from the full site, not the app.
There will be some cancellations the week before so keep checking!

There are many quick service locations to enjoy, as well as the resort dining options to explore.

Last month we got Crystal Palace lunch on the app an hour ahead of the reservation time, we were just browsing for lunches. So keep looking.

We're going in May too. I am a big planner but I still waited until recently to start booking dining reservations. It's hard to get 8 people to agree on food sever months out.

The only one I had trouble with was BoG. We have a party of 8 so I signed up for the touring plans reservation finder and it is a freaking godsend! I've had multiple reservation openings (they still go quick, so you've got to sign in as soon as the text comes throug). Use that for all your difficult to find reservations.

I agree with the other posters and you can plan a trip that quickly. As to park hoppers we have never used them. I can easily plan entire days at the parks and you have the added bonus of knowing park hours and can plan accordingly.

I planned a trip two weeks out last year and still got EMM and PPO at BOG. Two months is plenty of time.

Ive always planned our family trips months in advance
My mom is a FL resident and we just decided last week to send our daughter for a visit
My mom has a,resident pass and she bought DD a 4 day base ticket
So I had 2 weeks to plan this trip
DD leaves Sunday

I was able to get CM, Ohanas and Sci Fi diner, three of DD's favorites
i was able to get most big ticket FP's including Na'Vi river journey
I figured the could do standby for FOP

It can be done
I checked often, refreshing alot

How is anything honestly different? If you can add the hopper option, I'd do it.

Planning a trip 2 months out vs 11 months or over a year shouldn't really matter. If you just came back not too long ago, then you should already be packed to head back ;)

If anything, just go and enjoy what you can do. Don't stress it if you can't do certain rides. FP's open up, ADRs open up as your trip closes in.

Don't sweat it.

I booked for April 8-15 two weeks ago and made FP today ( got all my picks and times ) and got ohanas dinner and BOG breakfast times we wanted no problem :) I normally book a lot further out but as a Floridian we do sometimes book shorter times out and never had much of a issue .
