After getting up at three am....taking off at the Portland Jetport....we landed at Orlando at ten thirty am...after checking in and changing into FLorida clothes...(left a foot and a half of snow)we ate at our food court and got our refillable mugs....had a few cups of the high test java to wake up.....We went to our room and unpacked and left for Magic Kingdom..we walked around and took it all in....Did ALien ENcounter and then walked to the opposite side of the park and did TIKI Birds...We then went back to our rooms and decided to go to Epcot......Naturally the Spaceship Earth draws you like a magnet...walked right on and sat down and almost feel asleep....I must be home....We then walked clear over to World Showcase...decided to go to Mexico and have supper and went outdoors and had a Margarita....SINCE I am such a GOOD drinker....yuk...I had a major headache...LOL..lack of sleep .....we watched the Tapestry of Nations Parade....Ijust love that parade....it is just so elegant.....can you imagine almost falling asleep during Illuminations...went back to the resort and asleep in three seconds.....
Sunday Morning....woke up to sunny 64 degrees...Had breakfast in the food court...Brian and I both had the breakfast platter....and alot of hot coffee...sitting and sipping...decided to go to MGM studios for the morning....went right to Tower of Terror....yup...I started feeling the terror the minute we decided to do it first...heart palpitations ....I did it and lived to talk about it.....LOL....after this ride...we walked over to Indiana Jones and walked right into that attraction....love to watch this one....After Indy....we went to the 3-d Muppet vision...still get a chuckle out of this...it started getting warm (anything over 15 degrees is warm to us)...we decided to go back to hotel....we tossed a coin to see who would walk back to the room (Fantasia BLD)to get our mugs....He won...so I walked to get them...we had a few diet cokes and shared a double cheeseburger with fries...they are huge...!! We decided to then go swimming...the pool are full and we had a great time...I got a little burnt..yup- forgot the rule I preach....didn't put on sunscreen...lol....Brian surprised me and had our ressies already for Le Cellier In Canada for supper..so we hurried and got the bus to epcot..we were a bit early so did a few postcard emails at innovations.....Love that place....almost took care of my needed typing fix for the moment...lol.we still were early for our ps seating.....but they let us in...Yippee I was starving...we had such nice servers...they did the three bread report for us and left us alone to eat them.....I could of made a meal on the pretzel bread one.....delicious...we both ordered the Fresh Spring Salad with pear vinagarette..wow was it good....until I got to the stinky cheese....Brian finished my cheese....we also had the prime rib....and scalloped au grautin Potatoes...I was stuffed...and very happy...we walked around Epcot after and decided we were exhausted.....went back to our room and went swimming again....froze...but it felt good...slept like a log again even if the bed was hard...we missed our water bed....
Monday..we had reservations for our character breakfast at AK....we had coffee and each a piece of toast to tide us over until we had breakfast...got to AK at quarter of nine and decided we didn't have enough time to do the Safari....so we looked around and walked right into the Dinosaur Ride.....that is one awesome ride....got scared as usual and had a ball.....walked over to Breakfastasaurus and even though our ressies were for 9:30....we walked right in again.....found our server was the same girl that waited on our whole family last year...she was such a sweetie and was pg last year ...so we chatted and she was thrilled that we remembered her....she went and told her supervisor that..!! she was very attentive-as she was last year...we had our picture taken with her and just enjoyed our whole breakfast....just before we left, she came over with a special seating for the Safari Ride....we were thrilled this time...we walked right on...felt like a special person.LOL..we saw alot of animals and a giraffe that took a liking to us.....After this, Brian and I went on ITs Tough To Be a Bug....still gets me right in the back end...Brian and I then did alot of shopping.....gosh that is soooo much fun....got two neat pocketbooks that were hand woven for my daughter and my daughterin law....hoping that they will like them...We then walked to the bus stop and went back to the hotel.....not hungry..so we put on our suits and went swimming again....Brian was tired and he went up to the room and I laid on a lounge chair still trying to thaw from the Maine weather....Supper was in the food court and we had Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic bread....It was really delicious....we decided to spend the evening in MK....so waited at the bus stop..and waited and waited....around 100-130 people waiting too....50 minutes....three busses came and only could pick up two or three people at a time....Brian was ripped.....someone else complained and still no bus....the next bus will take us someplace else.....in hubbies words...so ended up going to Epcot again....did more Emails and went to Imagination and Honey I Shrunk the Audience...watched a few older people jump out of their seats when the "mouse" got loose....it is a cute show still......in Imagination next door, we did the longer email with pictures....left to go back to our room.....
Tuesday am ....woke to 74 degrees...wow ....we are really happy....Had breakfast at the food court and decided to go to MK....WE walked over to Buzz Ride....one of our favorites..and got a fast pass and went in line and rode the first time....as usual- Brian did fantastic....afater that we went to Haunted Mansion and had a ball....as we were leaving....I was determined to find the ring and I was so excited to find it right off....yippee..walked back to Buzz and did our fast pass....this place was a zoo-so we went back to our resort and had lunch...taco salad in a taco bowl....it was excellent.....All Star Movies Food Court is very good....Brian zonked after and I went down to the pool and sat in a chair....I got sun and to much......forgot the hat in the room..we decided later to go back to MK and watch the Parade....so off we are again....bus was a little bit better....at least we got here!!we went to the HM and did it again....Country Bear Jamboree.....and had supper at Peco's Bills.....after that we got our viewing spot near the Fire Station.....the Dapper Dan's entertained us and I was amazed at the age difference of the crowd.....interaction even with the teenagers..the middle age people and the very old...every one enjoyed the singing...then the parade....we enjoyed it again.....the bus out was a different story....Brian saw a man tell something to the traffic controller....we think it was leave...the man was dressed in a suit...and he got our Movies area....four separate busses...can you believe that many people waiting....he admitted to us that the new system wasn't working...the system was to get people waiting only 5-10 minutes for a bus....yah right....back to our resort finally..the sun did a number on me and I felt really sick all night....finally fell asleep around four am....slept until eight..
Wednesday am....still quite nice out...
Had breakfast at the food court...and took the bus to Epcot....went right to Test Track....(didn't do it last year)..and got a fast Pass...we still only waited ten minutes for our ride.....went on it and I actually liked it...saw alot of little kids...and I mean little do this one....really surprised...we enjoyed it soooooo much.....went to look for some goodies to bring home to family and went back for our fast pass....I thought wow this is great.....love this ride....got on it and whammo..we stopped on an overhead pass ....wondered what is wrong now....well after a few minutes...it started up again and when we went around the corner on the big incline....we stopped....on a dime too!!!!! we were hanging on our side....I WAS NOT IMPRESSED!!!! people down below were waving and laughing and taking pictures...I was holding on to the bars for dear life....my husband was on the outside and I was in the middle...and this other lady on the other side .....well she was stuck on my hand and I couldn't feel anything in it.....BUT....I wasn't letting go and she wasn't moving....we stayed there for almost five minutes....it finally started up and we ended our ride....and the guy says....since your ride was interrupted.,...we are going to send you again.....before I could say....NOT IN THIS LIFETIME.......we were off again......this time it was like our first ride....nice and fast and smooth.....thank goodness!! So three rides on that one.....went back to our hotel to recoup!! Decided to do our shopping at Market Place...cause it was really overcast and I thought thunder shower here it comes....still am amazed how 60 dollars can fit in one little bag...and most of it was Mickey Pencils for the kids...naturally Jasmine, our Dalmatian got a big Mickey from us....but hubby bought that one without me around....On our way back to hotel...a long haired kind of scruffy guy with red streaks on the top ....earrings everywear and tattoos...got on with his friend..they sat behind a lady with a baby....well these two men and this one little baby entertained us for our trip back to our hotels...they just gooed and grinned at each other for the whole ride...Looks arent' what counts...these guys were just so fantastic with this baby....
Supper was at our food court....have no clue what we ate...I know I must of been full and happy.....sat around for a while and enjoyed the people......It was really thundering and making alot of noises....so decided not to go anywhere...went to our room and settled in for the evening....Brian was sleeping at nine and I turned the tv off at nine thirty.....we slept until almost eight the next morning....It all caught up with us...Having fun is alot of work....
Thursday Am....woke up and it was already pretty warm....had breakfast in the hotel and decided to go to MK.....YUP again ....hoping to see Angie and some other disers....The thunderboomers started when we walked in.....went and got a fast pass for Buzz.....yup it is our favorite...and walked right onto the ride.......rode three times before we used our pass....then the lightening was going strong...went back into Buzz and came out to a good downpour...we waited for an hour under cover and decided........yuk to this....back to the hotel....still not bad....four Buzz rides....50 minute wait for the bus.....Brian was fuming.....really......we know it isn't the bus drivers fault....so didn't say anything to him...had lunch at the food court...those chicken fingers are pretty good......and decided to veg for a while in the room.....looked at the weather channel and saw that Maine was being hit with a bad snow storm again and all we had here was a little rain....YAH a little....decided what the heck ...lets go to Epcot so we could go to ESPN and get our son a hat and t shirt and our grandson a hat ....so on went our three year old Mickey mouse slickers that we had never ever used....ended up looking like a zillion other people.....all yellow ......my sneakers were sloshing as I walked...at one point I grabbed a yellow mickey person and it wasn't even Brian....oh well......will never ever see this person again.....LOL......took the boat from Boardwalk back to the Epcot entrance.....that was good.......my glasses don't have windshield wipers...we took our time walking to the bus stop....we figured..we were yellow....we were wet and our sneakers were making weird noises....bus was there -Yippee.....went to our food court and I won the toss this time...Brian had to go to the room to get our mugs....Called Kimberly to find out about this snow storm....she said .....don't worry.....we will have the driveways cleared......I worry!!! Had Faitas or something like that....not well versed on Mexican Food...but it was delicious...beef and alot of veggies...The thunder and lightening was horrible....decided to just go to our room and dry off.....our sneakers and socks and our long pants....were soaked...hung everything up and took a hot shower.....felt much better......Woke on Friday to clear skies....and pretty comfortable....low 70's.....Decided to go to MGM for t shirts from Tower of Terror......no bus problems.....YIPPEE>......was going to do the tower again....but decided not to.....went over to Star Tours and walked right on to the ride...love this.....walked out and said....lets do it again....this time it was around five minutes...not bad at all.......LOVE THAT RIDE TOO....walked around the area and got a Home Improvement Sweat shirt for 13.99....good quality and on sale....the last of those I am sure......walked right back to the bus stop and walked right on to that one.....phewwwwww...we decided to have a ceasar salad at the food court...I love these.....so Brian decided to get one too....they put everything on it but the kitchen sink.....so we are eating and Brian says....this tastes a little fishy....and I don't say a word....snickering inside though...and he eats some more and says....again....it even smells fishy....I am not laughing still...after we were finished.....I told him.....OH YAH....a real ceasar salad usually uses anchovies.....they must of had some flavoring in the dressing.....he said he tasted that all afternoon......later we went swimming and sunning....it was a great afternoon....the water was nice and warm too....Our last evening....decided to go to MK...for the Electric Parade one more time....and also an eight oclock dis meet in front of the castle where Mickey and Walt are....I was so excited ...couldn't contain myself....I had to wait a few minutes for the crowd to die down and walked over and April 76 was there...we met and chatted for a few....no one else showed up.....very happy to have met her....she was so nice to gab with....met her hubby too.....went to our hotel again and had supper....and sat in the food court for a few....just relaxed.....went back to the room and watched the weather channel...geesh watch it before we leave.....and then we watch it when we get here....LOL...Maine was having a really bad storm......over a foot of snow AGAIN....what is it with these Friday and Saturday storms...
Saturday....it was very overcast and FLorida was in the red zone again....they said big storms between 3-4 pm....oh great...that is when we are leaving....our plane was supposed to leave at 4:15..didn't take off until 5:20...the captain on the flight.....said I will try to make up time and get you all to your connections....omg....how can he do that......go over the speed limit????? but we got to Philly with ten minutes to get from Concourse C....the very end....to the very end of Concourse B...well....I had to go potty and I ran like a.......you don't want to know....made the flight and the potty...got home to Maine a half hour early....arrived in Maine and plenty of snow at nine pm.....pretty good time....no luggage...that was still in Philly....in fact they had to deliver over a hundred pieces of luggage on Sunday AM....we got ours at noon...we had a great time.....ALL Star Movies is a great resort....the bus system will hopefully resolve their problems and I can hardly wait to do it all again.....
