Time of year- May (after Easter breaks) is ideal! Nice weather, not humid, low crowds!

Poly- nice, comfy beds, great pool, great location to parks, walk to TTC to shorten non-monorail direct trips, good Cafe'.

Water- drink plenty, but don't drink water at AK or MK (Yuck!)

Purchases- take advantage of "ship to room"

Laundry- too expensive and far location (at Poly), but saves packing room

Character meals- skip Villians and do Chef Mickey's for dinner instead. For max character interaction at breakfast, do Garden Grille.

Water slide Parks- for thrills, do Blizzard Beach-for more subdued, do Typhoon

Disney Quest- Parks are more fun, don't bend over backwards to get to this.

Best Park- for those who like rides-MK, then MGM. For more "observation attractions", Epcot and AK are both equally enjoyable, but Epcot has more to do.

Itinerary- Don't overplan! Just have a general idea and maybe some meal reservations, then have fun!;)

Thanks for the report. :) You've got some great tips there. I'll be using some of them soon!

Did you see any parades. Did the grad nights or star wars weekend affect your vacation. Did the parks close early while you were there. Which dates in May did you go? Sorry for all the questions, I am debating between a May or March trip. I like the May rates better. Thanks, Sherrie

Thanks for the short, yet informative report. I think the water *everywhere* is icky at Disney, so we use the Brita water bottles to filter out the Florida water taste.
We also love the package delivery! Nothing beats coming back to the room to see the bed covered with packages and saying "I bought this much stuff???!!!"

Beth :p

12 more days!! Woo hoo!!:)

Missed the parades:( , but the Star Wars thing and grad nights did not affect us (didn't even see a hint of them). As far as the parks, they closed at 9pm (except Sun, Mk closed at 8pm and MGM at 10pm)unless you bought the e-night pass for the designated parks.

The crowds were so light that we saw everything without rushing too much and didn't need more time. (please read my trip reports). We were at the Parks May 6-May 9.:D

Why not drink the water at AK or MK ???? Does it taste bad?? Or someting else?

Yes- the water tasted very bad, and we are not the type to care too much usually. I don't know if there is any health risk (I'm sure Disney would have addressed that). But- just bring a water bottle and fill it with water any any food place that has a drink station (or ask them to fill it).

No, we did not. I think the fires started on the day we left for the cruise(5/10) or a day or two afterwards. I did see it on the news when we got home though (I taped a couple of shows). I saw that it was fairly close to WDW.....
