I am 6 foot 3 so this really offends me to see this guy get a break just because he is short !!!

But Joe Mangano, secretary of the National Organization of Short Statured Adults, agreed with the judge's assessment that Thompson would face dangers while in prison because of his height.

"I'm assuming a short inmate would have a much more difficult time than a large inmate," said Mangano, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall. "It's good to see somebody looking out for someone who is a short person."



I think in this instance the Judge should be ordered to do the perverts time!!!

Wow there's an official organization? I never knew? What do you have to do to join? Maybe we could fight to become a protected class! The possibilities are endless. I've never used my short stature to my benefit before. I will think long and hard about it though next time I'm pulled over for speeding.

I really wonder why this guy a tthei organization would ever want to align himself with this cause It is the most insane thing ever I live in Nebraska and I was going to call Jon Bruning's office if he didn't step up by next week.

I do think this is great news for tall people, fat people, thin people, hairy people, and bald people who commit crimes. They can point to the precedent of the idiot judge in Nebraska.
