Please tell me your experiences with any of the shore excursions. We would like to do one on CC and also Nassau.

Please list the good ones as well as the bad ones, and why!

I know not everyone's tastes are the same, but it would be helpful anyway

THANKS

Never did excursoins on CC..just enjoyed the beach.

In Nassau we loved the two hour historic city tour. We booked the first one right after the ship docked which left us the rest of the day to enjoy Nassau itself, on our own. A guide meets you right outside the ship and leads you over to the taxi area where you are divided up and sent on your way. The drivers/guides are great. Talking and answering questions along the way. You get to get out and look around at the major site, forts, queens staircase, lighthouse. Great views and photo opps along the way. For the price it is a bargain and a great way to get an overview of the island. We booked this through disney for myself, hubby and our daughter (22). She loved it also.

We did the Blue Lagoon excursion in Nassau in '02. We followed the tour guide off the ship, had a 5-10 min walk through the town of Nassau to where you board a ferry that takes you to Blue Lagoon. It was about a 40 min ferry ride. There is a bathroom on the boat.
We found Blue Lagoon to be very relaxing. There didn't seem to be too many people there in Nov '02 so it sort of felt like a semi private island. There are hammocks and picnic tables---but not many. We did snorkeling there. It's extremely easy because it's really a lagoon so there's no waves/rough water. The water was clear, calm and not too deep. Great for small kids or first time snorklers. We spotted a barracuda and someone else spotted a small (harmless variety) of shark. Also, there's a lunch included in the price of the excursion. I think it was hamburgers and chicken. A bunch of people got together and played volleyball later in the day too. There were 2 ferries that you could return on. One was around 1 pm and the other around 3:30-4 pm. Give yourself at least 1 hour to get back on the ship.

We did the Blue Lagoon as well in 2002 and agree with MiaSRN62. We enjoyed it alot.

In 2003, we took the catamaran sail and snorkel. It was excellent and it didn't take up the entire day. We were back around 1, so we got to enjoy the ship more than we did when we did the Blue Lagoon.

BL has 2 ferry times (2 and 4) to get back to the ship. It is about a 45 min. trip. So you won't get back until 3 at the earliest.

Now, I know that 2 hours doesn't seem like a lot of extra time. But on the Wonder, you will want to use your time wisely.

We did the Dolphin Encounter in Nassau in Sept. It was truly an incredible experience, especially if you're an animal lover. Would do it again in a heartbeat. I wanted to do the Stingray City excursion but Disney wasn't offering it during our stop.
