Hom many shops are on the cruise I'm sure they sell Disney Cruise Line merchandise but do they also sell Disney stuffed animals and other disney items that are usually found at the parks? Also if you forget something like sunscreen do they sell these type of items. Never been we will be booking a May cruise some time in september for are first cruise. Thanks Kelly

Welcome Kelly
They have 2 shops on board, can't remember the names. One is more upscale and the other has Disney Cruise stuff. They also have stuffed charactors in Sailor outfits. I would guess if would be alot like the stuff World of Disney, except it is all geared toward DCL. I don't remember seeing anything from WDW. Hope this helps. I'm not sure but you might want to check out Barb's sight, www.castawayclub.com. She may have more on the shops.

They do sell "plain" Disney animals. My daughter bought an 18" Mickey in regular Mickey clothes (and a Minnie in red Minnie dress the next time). MOST things are DCL but not all. You can buy sunscreen, etc. but I don't recommend it ($$$).

both shops are across from each other both sell disny things and DCL clothes we also recomend bringing all you oun things like sunscreen asprin and sun burn lotion and toothpaste as those items are all way over priced Mike

How about jewerly? Do they sell that in the stores? Everytime I go to DW I like to purchase a piece of 14K gold jewerly, like a mickey ring, tinkerbell necklace, etc. Do they sell items like that?

Yes, they sell very nice jewelry.

There isn't really a large selection of Disney jewelry, but disney6 is right, what they have is nice. :) In Treasure Ketch, they sell cells and other collectibles too.

I'm not really a 'shopper', but when I go to WDW or on the DCL I go into EVERY store just to check things out & I always buy 1-2 souvenirs.
As mentioned, the personal items are expensive so unless it's a must - make sure you have these things.
Just a tip - you can't get any DCL stuff in WDW. So, make sure you buy ON the ship if you see something that you want.
Also, getting something you may have seen in one of the parks or shops @ WDW will be a rare find on the ship. There's some generic items - like the stuffed animals that were mentioned - but the store isn't that big & the stock is limited.
The store with the clothing & jewelry is nice, but pricey.

This being said, both stores, are very nice & I always look forward to visiting them.

The following shopping is available on the ship:

Mickey's Mates is the Disney character and logo shop filled with stuffed animals, souvenirs, logowear, trading pins, postcards, etc.

Treasure Ketch is right across the hall from Mickey's Mates, and offers more upscale and practical merchandise, such as resortwear, jewelry, collectibles, toiletries, film, batteries, books and magazines.

Don't forget about She Sells Sea Shells on Castaway Cay which is a Diseny themed shop with unique Castaway Cay logo items.

and by all means, if you see something you really want, buy it earlier rather than later. The shops have limited stock and once that stock is gone, it is gone. I got the last Caribbean map (shows the various ports of call for DCL) on our cruise last year - on the second night of the four day cruise. Don't wait too long - the itme you want may be gone. Also, if you have an item you would like for the captain to sign, get in line early the night he does that. CMs were very prompt about cutting the line off at the announced time.

There is another shop on the DCL beside the two already mentioned. I believe it goes by different names depending on the ship but on the Disney Magic it's called "Up Beat." This shop is located between "off Beat" and "Rockin-Bar D."

Here they mainly sell alcohol but they also have a large selection of perfumes and such. They also sell the Tortuga Rum Cakes and some other port-speciality items.

Ooooh, those tortuga rum cakes are delicious.

We had a stand with them in the middle of our mall last Christmas...we bought a bunch of the small sets and sent them to our family just for fun...(and some for ourselves of course). Everyone loved them.

There's also a snack stand outside the Walt Disney Theater that sells cool things like Mickey head shaped gummies and such. Great little things to take home to those not lucky enough to be there with you! (like school buddies!)
