Has anybody been to these recently?

We plan on going to one of them before we go shopping at downtown disney.

Which is the better one to go to? The Belz Factory Outlet Mall or the Premier Outlet Mall?

Are they pretty close by?

Any and all info is appreciated!!;)

There are many terrific shopping venues, including Disney merchandise offerings at lower rates than you might find on site. Some of the best shopping can be found at Orlando Premium Outlets. Located on Vineland Avenue between I-Drive and I-4 (exit 68 on I-4). You'll find designer brands, as well as great bargins on Disney merchandise at the Character Premiere store. There is an excellent food court if you find yourself here at lunch time. If you head up Interstate 4, you'll find a cluster of outlet and retail stores, including Beltz, The Mercado (no Disney), Pointe Orlando (which includes Disney Worldport)and the semi-new Festival Bay (very nice but not quite finished, and no Disney). For convenience, Orlando Premium outlets is the closest. Perhaps try there first and then head up I-4 if you don't find what you are looking for. It's very easy to get sidetracked once you're on I-Drive, and there are plenty of interesting diversions if you'd like some time out of the parks.

If you go to Premium be sure to go to the food court with your AAA card and get a special additional discount coupon booklet. It is well worth it and free.

There is one more!!

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores
State Road 535
Near Walt Disney World Resort

We found trading pins for $1.99!! At Belz they were $3.99.
I found a $4.99 T Shirt that has MK Fireworks over the castle and the Fab 5 on it too!!!

My vote goes for the Orlando Premium outlets too.

I've gotten some terrific bargains there, and if it's of any concern to you, it's a much nicer place than Belz IMO. You also don't have the (admittedly minor) hassle of having to move between buildings as you do at Belz.

One place that I particularly like and hasn't been mentioned yet is the Florida Mall, which is to the east side of Orlando. It's a close call for me which is the better mall, that or the Premier Outlets.

I guess the only small point against the Florida mall is that it isnt quite as conveniently located as the Preium outlets, though it's hardly difficult to get to. The shopping however is terrific, and unless I'm mistaken (yes, I know, hard to believe but it is possible ! ;) ), the mall was about to be expanded just after my last visit to Orlando this time last year. Check out the link below

The Florida Mall

Hope this helps you !

Cleo, where is Festival Bay ? I haven't head of that before.

Festival Bay is on I-Drive, and is an indoor mall of sorts, laid out in a winding pattern that assures you see everything. The anchor stores are Bass Pro Shops (HUGE!!) and Ron Jons, and there are a number of other shops as well, such as Victoria's Secret, Hilo Hattie, Bath and Body Works, Ann Taylor Loft, etc.

It's been in the works for quite some time but isn't finished (filled) yet. There is also a Vans Skate Park, which would make for a full afternoon (rainy day activity?) for the kids, if they're into skateboarding. It's an amazing park, if for no other reason than sheer size.

Check out this link for more info: Festival Bay

We just got back on Mon. and went to both the Belz outlet and the Premier outlet. The latter was much nicer. The Belz outlet looked like the inside of a wharehouse, no carpet, concrete floors, and stuff just kind of thrown in there. The Premier outlet was better as far as atmosphere and merchandise. Also and the Premier outlet they have a Universal outlet as well.

,
We just got back from Orlando and some great
shopping. The Belz outlet was our fav. mall. There were some really good bargains at
the Disney store. The store on 535 also had
some good buys.We had a wonderful trip that
was so much fun and we came home with some
nice stuff.
