Shopping outside Disney World while staying in the world Question

Hi,
I have a question about shopping outside of WDW. We will be staying at Pop without a rental car and getting one is not an option.
I checked out the closet outlet mall and it is Orlando premier outlets which is at 8200 Vineland Avenue.
Has anyone taken a taxi to this mall and about how much did it cost?
I was thinking of taking a Bus to DownTown Disney and getting a taxi to the Mall?
Anyone visit the Walmart that is also closest to POP and how much did the Taxi cost for the trip?
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that the Lake Buena Vista Outlet Mall has a free shuttle that will pick you up at your hotel. I am not certain that it goes to Disney resorts or just off site hotels. The Walmart is just down the road a little way from this mall but not a road that you would want to walk on. Very busy.

We got a taxi in 2009 I think about $10/$15 each way. We went from POR on way and back to DTD which was cheaper. We are from UK so still worth it for the bargains!

Yes you are correct there is a free shuttle that takes you to LBV Outlet Mall but its not the best one to go to as there isn't a lot there. The shuttle does not pick up from any of the WDW resorts but you can catch it from the Wyndham and Hilton which are right outside DTD. Do not leave it to the last moment to catch it as it has set times and if you are a moment late its gone! Look at the LBV outlet site and there is a link to the pick up times and the resorts it goes to.

You can catch the Lynx bus to Seaworld and transfer to another one right outside and it will take you to both of the Premium Outlets in either direction. Its a cheap option and very reliable, abeit a bit on the slow side!!

We got every year and take a cab from DTD. 10 bucks each way.

I disagree with the poster above about not much being at this outlet mall. It depends on what kind of shopping you want to do.

The other outlets are Prime and Premium, and i still can't afford many of the shops there, even the clearance racks. They cater to the luxury name brand crowd.

LBV is still good shopping, just not the "super high end" brands. Lots of bargains to be found there.
