Shopping near Vero Beach

Is the closest Walmart to Vero Beach the Walmart in Sebstian? How about the closest Publix.
I am getting ready to book our first trip (adults only) to Vero and I am excited. However I don't know the area at all.
We would like to pick up some staples, beer, wine perhaps beach chairs etc.

It takes about the same time to get to Publix or Walmart from Vero Beach Resort as it does just to get off of Disney property in Orlando. Its very close.

I did a mapquest and I think the WalMart in Vero was the same distance as the one in Sebastian. If I remember correctly it took me about 20 minutes to get there - its about 11 miles at most.

Which direction do you come into Vero from from MCO? I thought that the Sebastian one might be closer to that route. Is that correct?

We went to the Publix's before you go over the bridge. For just a quick pickup there is a CVS where you can pick up chairs and I think beer and wine. We went to CVS a few times.

Some thing to go w/ that beer or wine, at the stop light north [some 500 yds] from VB enterance there is a good pizza place, and they deliever too. Get the phone # from the CM at the front desk. Welcome Home.
