Shopping in St. Thomas

Does anyone know what time the shopping district in St. Thomas opens? Scheduled to arrive at 7:45 a.m. and want to try to balance getting to the beach and shopping and back on ship by 3 pm. Possibly going back to the ship for lunch.

Don't know for sure, but I'd be surprised if the shops weren't open as soon as the ship was docked.
