We are driving to Buffalo a day earlier, and wondered if anyone here can tell me the best place to shop? We have done the Walden Galleria, but wondered about Outlet malls, or any others you might suggest. I have two teen girl shoppers. So any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

We love the outlets in Niagara Falls New York. They are about 30 minutes away from Buffalo. You could always cross at Lewiston or Niagara Falls and go there first and then head to your hotel after.

Here's the website.http://www.fashionoutletsniagara.com
They have just about anything a teen girl could want (at least according to my teen!:))

ETA) Also check out their Green Savings card. You get it for free as a CAA member or you can pay a fee for it. If you plan to use any of the stores listed it can provide a good savings.http://www.fashionoutletsniagara.com/ep_greencard.asp

Wow, thanks. We are actually staying in Niagara Falls, On. It is an 8 hour drive for us to Buf. So we are going to try to make it to Niagara Falls after work on Thurs evening, but it is at least 7 hours if the traffic is good. If not we will stop in Barrie, and then drive to Buf the next morning, and we fly Sat morning. We always cross Lewiston. Are they hard to find?

Our GPS always completely screws us up when we cross the border so we've taken a few really unnecessary detours:rotfl:
I would use Google Maps and check it against your GPS if you have one to make sure you have the best route. It's not too bad to find them.:)
Niagara Falls Ontario also has outlets. It is a much smaller mall though and the deals are nowhere near as good most of the time. We don't bother with them.

The outlets are quite easy to find, when you cross at Lewiston you are on IIRC I-190, and the exit for the outlet mall is about 5 minutes after you cross....Porter Rd. if memory serves forrest. Take a left as you exit the interstate, then your first right onto Military Rd....outlets will be on your right.

My wife and I also found, I THINK called Boulevard Mall. It is in the north part of Buffalo (Amherst, NY to be exact), on Niagara Falls Blvd just south of I-290 (which you need to take to get to the I-90 to Buffalo Airport). Decent little mall, much smaller than the Galleria. Has the usual shops, plus a Macy's. If you only had time for one though, I'd do the Galleria before Boulevard Mall.

Speaking of Macy's, one tip I will give is that if you tell them you are Canadian, they gave us a discount for being out of state visitors. Wasn't much, 10-15%, but it was definitely a nice perk (and that was on top of the sale price we had on some clearance items we were picking up).

Good luck in your shopping!!!

Tim

I am originally from Buffalo and now live in Ontario. Between Niagara Falls and the airport the three malls already mentioned are the best. The Boulevard Mall in Amherst has a lot of the same shops as the Galleria, but it is much smaller. You will find that the prices for the Boulevard mall are a little cheaper than the same store at the Galleria.

I like both Boulevard Mall (cause Red Robin is right down the road!) and Galleria, sometimes Eastern Hills. The only thing I have found is that the selection at Boulevard isnt quite as good as Galleria, especially at JCPenney simply because it is a little smaller-just my 2 cents!

Thanks everyone. HOpefully the weather works in our favour. We would have almost the whole day Friday if I can get everyone up and out the door on Friday morning, we could be shopping before noon! Then onto our flight the next morning!
