Shopping for new Camcorder. Help Needed!

We have an old 8mm video camera but want to upgrade to a Digital Camcorder. Can you all tell what kind you have and how you like it? Does it have good picture quality, etc. My DH likes the new hard drive models, but we don't know much about them. Any feedback would be appreciated!!

I purchased the JVC 30gb hd camcorder and I love it! It is really easy to upload onto your PC and share. I bought mine a yr ago and they have much better ones available now for a cheaper price. I think I paid around 800. I reccomend it. You can also go to www.cnet.com and the have good reviews. If I were to purchase another one, I would definately go for the high def versions.
